So I noticed that 4 services were stopping at DeKalb Northbound Bridge track tonight. and .i think it's a little too much. No? Maybe send something in the tunnel?

So now there are switch problems at Rockaway Blvd causing A trains to run express northbound.Im sure they won't rush but i guess it's not the biggest problem since you can go back but it's still an Inconvieniance.

Let's say rush hour it takes 10 minutes to fix vs 2 am maybe an hour.

Is it true that if there is some major problem like switch problems will they rush to fix it during rush hour vs if it happens at 2 in the morning they will take their time?

From what I've experienced, the doesn't have delays too much of the time and I'm a frequent user. But when they do, all shit breaks through. The delays from line crowding build up because so many people rely on it. Most of the time they will do reroutes randomly, like terminate the train here and go back the other direction. Multiple fights have gone on when the trains are delayed cause everybody is pushing to get on and that creates more chaos than there already is.

Due to a train with mechanical problems at W 4 St-Washington Sq, the following service changes are in effect:
Some southbound F trains are running on the E line from Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av to W 4 St-Washington Sq.
Some southbound F trains are running on the E line from Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av to Court Square then via the G line from Court Square to Bergen St.
Expect delays on southbound E, F, G trains.
Allow additional travel time.
Wasn't there a train with mechanical problems there this morning too? I think this is a train that had its emergency brakes activated to to signal problems.thats my guess. Also the is not affected ?
UPDATE: it's now a rail condition;I guess the train didn't really have mechanical problems.

I thought they already announced the F express would return this fall?

Not sure. I do know if you are listening to the scanner you can't tell anyone what you are hearing unless you are an employee
Someone started posting videos of trains but also includes his scanner and I was wondering if it was illegal.

I have a question. If someone records video of subway scanner radio transmission is it illegal for me to watch it?

I took the to Broad Street yesterday. My group missed the first one, but the second one came in soon after. The thing was, after Fulton Street, the train was held in the tunnel to clear out the up ahead. I predict lots more trouble if Broad Street were both a terminal and through station since it has only 2 tracks.
Bowling green is like that too and church ave and Utica ave southbound after 10 pm.all those are through stations and terminals. Very annoying sometimes.

How come whenever they suspend the Franklin shuttle it's the whole thing? Can't they run something from prospect park to Botanic Garden or even Park place If let's say something happened at Franklin?
Why should the whole line suffer?

It seems wifi is now available in a lot of stations.only 3 or 4 stations don't have in Manhattan.Plus 20 or 30 in Brooklyn.

Was just posted Wow that's crazy/

Sounds like the main problem was on the downtown tracks leading to 6th ave line.and the D trains had no way to get back to its Brooklyn West End route so other trains like the F and R took it over.

Does anyone know why bustime isn't able to track a route or two? I can't track the B15 or B83 which is weird...
Update; After checking the other routes in the city it seems only ENY routes are affected by this no schedule at this time BS that's going on. My only question at this point is are they testing or updating something at ENY to cause it's routes to be untrackable?
Correct only ENY is affected

Something weird happened today.I took the from Sterling to Flatbush.Normal until right before Flatbush. We wait for 2 trains to leave the station but after the 2nd one left we still did not move.I got very worried about potential switch problems.we move about 5 minutes later.I asked the T/O what happened and he claims Flatbush Dispatch didn't know we were waiting to get in.

Due to switch problems at Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer, the following service changes are in effect:
trains are running on the line from Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike to Jamaica-179 St in both directions.
As an alternative, At Parsons Blvd station, take Jamaica-LIRR station bound Q25, Q34 or Q65 buses for Jamaica Center and Sutphin Blvd-JFK stations.
Expect delays in both directions.
Allow additional travel time.
Is there enough capacity at 179 to turn all and trains there?

Yes th only BIE that I've been through was a "Debris on Roadbed".About 20 min like most of them.It would be nice if there was some quicker way to do it.But it's not that advanced yet.

I still don't get why the train operator has to check the roadbed for almost every BIE. Are they checking for a person ?

It looks like there is a hidden G.O. trains single track between Bourough Hall and Bowling Green.

Wow,today there were many Problems. The was, shut down from 8th to Myrlte.Queens Blvd was shut down for an hour this morning. And then the Bergen street signal failure.Plus some rail conditions. That was really crazy.Im sure some ,s went to the junction.why couldn't they as you said. This was a day though I'm sure the MTA will never want to repeat.

Becuase many times they are running early when they get to Utica. It was happening a lot Becuase Rockaway and Van Siclen were closed. But they reopened so maybe it will happen less.Look at the schedule if the train is 2 min or more early they hold.

How come the MTA can't just say "train with brakes in emergency"." Train with mechanical problems means there is something wrong with the train and I bet most of the time it's not the train.
