Its longer (mileage-wise) to HTC than it is to RVC.

Per some employees on SubChat they're making weekend requirements by pressing all laid up R46's into service, not sure how Monday will be done.
Its obvious this is an emergency order issued singlehandedly by someone high up.

Following changes go in effect all R32s are coming off the , they will be displaced by R46s, no word on the R160s or the R32s at ENY, the R32s at ENY are doing great, its not confirmed that the R32s will go to the but it may or may not happen
What is the source of the extra R46's?!

Stewart Avenue? 71 short turns?
That's news to me...
There are Saturday morning eastbound short turns to Stewart Av, leaving HTC on the :00 and :30 from 6:00 to 9:00 inclusive. No westbound equivalent exists.

Thats not new, although senior drivers will turn on red anyway. It started sometime last year. New drivers will usually follow the rule, but most don't. Like the turn onto Zeckendorf Blvd on the n22 and n24 from Hicksville heading into Roosevelt Field, that light is a long red but drivers who know what they're doing will make the turn anyway.
I wonder if NICE is actively enforcing the rule or just protecting itself (i.e. if you turn right on red and an accident occurs you're liable)

They send the 62s from the 3 line up there to get washed...
This was in revenue service.

There was a set of R62/A's (don't know how to tell them apart) sent up the White Plains Road line today midday. Saw it at West Farms Sq. Just a plain old gap train, or any specific reason?
Don't remember the time, will have it tomorrow when today's EasyPay records post.

I still don't get why that and 168th St and 191st St doesn't have stairs? What if there was a fire?
Clark St and Forest Glen WMATA also are elevator only, but emergency stairs exist. Not sure about these stations though.

N4x: Alright, here we go. I know a LIMITED was proposed for this route a couple of years ago and never happened. I think a LIMITED would be better than this stupid "express" crap that NICE is putting on the n6 and the n4. These buses should just stop at the major streets like the N6 LIMITED did. That LIMITED route was very successful. Although we'll see when/if the route debuts, I have moderate hopes for this.
The N4x is really a limited, it is by no means a non-stop trip...

Day, 9:30 AM to 3 PM, Wednesday, Jul 17service operates in two sections:

2. Between Howard Beach-JFK Airport and Mott AvFree shuttle buses operate along two routes:
1. Between Euclid Av and Howard Beach via Lefferts Blvd, making stops at

2. Between Euclid Av and Howard Beach, nonstop.MTA issued a press release. Reason is emergency switch work south of 80th St.

They will probably eliminate it.
Some of the n16x trips occur outside the n6x's span, so they won't do a complete elimination if they go that way.
The n6x extension also adds a stop at Hofstra and therefore might take longer. I think the trips will stay.

Is there something going on with 1833 that I'm missing or you just don't see it that often? What am I missing here?
Only 1800+ bus still in MTA colors.

I better hope that GO is canceled. With the triathalon, the UWS and northward will be absolutely gridlocked. I think last year it was particularly horrendous.
Unless its emergency work (seeing how late it was posted)...

I just reread the GO and realized: the runs via 6 Av/53 St , not the standard .

Its a subway car, how could it not be "used" to a 100% underground line?
From reading your post you make it seem like the 160's is a human person that can't adjust to a new job lol.
Perhaps the equipment was set/maintained with the expectation that it would never see extended underground service?

Not. Again.
With the via 6 Av hopefully it won't be as painful. And once two weekends of that service pattern have passed, the won't be back to the Montague on a weekend until the tunnel can handle it.

I'm moving to Lakeview on the 15th... Its gonna be interesting taking NICE Bus everyday.
I have a lot of options to get to Jamaica at least.
I can take the N15 to:
Rockville Centre for the N4
Roosevelt Field for the N22/A/X
Hempstead for the N6
This is gonna be interesting...
I would use the N6 option: the N4 isn't all that frequent especially during the off peak and the N15 routing from Hempstead to RFM is roundabout.

Next weekend is crazy!
- No service north of 137th
- Joralemon St Tunnel closure
- via Montague
- via 6 Av
- Greenpoint Tube closure
- to Metropolitan Av, buses Myrtle-Bway Jct
Add to that the triathalon...

This is a bigger problem than it is now: if NTT's can't take the , what will happen when the entire fleet is NTT many years from now?

Here's a MASSIVE late night GO planned for next week.
No trains between 137 St and 242 St
trains and free shuttle buses provide alternate service
Late Nights, 11:30 PM to 4 AM, Mon to Fri, Jul 8 - 12
Service operates between South Ferry and 137 St.
Broadway shuttle buses operate between 137 St and 242 St, stopping at 145, 157, 168,
181, 191, Dyckman, 207, 215, 225, 231 and 238 Sts, connecting with the at 207 St.
St Nicholas Av shuttle buses operate between 168 St and 191 St, stopping at 181 St.Surprised they're actually having the through shuttle bus stopping at 181 and 191. Note that its Dyckman and 207 St stops are at the stations not stations. To make things worse, downtown trains run express from 72 to 42, skipping 59 St.
What is the reason for this? I don't think much work can be done on such a long segment for only 4.5 hours including setup and takedown.

Yeah, I like the n22 Limited. That and the n22x are doing well. You should take the n6x next.
While on the bus, I saw a whole ton of inbound (reverse peak) buses. Some observations:
-The N22 combined headway is awful tight! The buses were coming in droves, each with anywhere from 1/2 of a seated load to 5-6 standees. Not much of a difference between x, L, A, and regular. Seemed like more NICE buses than NYCT buses heading west @ 170 St at 5:30.
-N1 reverse peak runs empty.
-N6x loads varied from a few people to a standee or two. N6 locals were usually full.

Took the N22L for the first time. Bus 1650; 17:20dp 165 St
Departed 169 St about 10min late, arrived Hicksville 15min late.
SRO leaving 169th, we had to flag the last intending passenger in NYC, dropped to a seated load by Marcus Ave, around 3/4 of a seated load at Willis Ave, 1/2 by Post Av.
With maybe 1 or 2 exceptions, there were on/offs at EVERY STOP from the city line to Willis Ave.
Still some confused passengers, despite the LTD existing for more than 18 months now.
The n22L bypass routing is FAST!!! If it wasn't for making every stop I wouldn't think we'd be more than 5min late.
