  1. Don't say shit like that man, peeps gonna actually believe you lol.

IDK if Dan05979 was being serious, sarcastic, or an idiot, but what he said would be the absolute worst thing to happen for the (N). Sea Beach and Astoria riders would be super mad to see their awesome, beloved R160s replaced with junky old R46s (they look ugly there anyway), though I am sure a couple of people I know who wished the (N) and (Q) looked like a certain fatso at my school would love this. The (N) was the first train to get the R160s for a reason: it ranked worst in the State of the Subways Report Card for three straight years. The (W) also got them for this reason, leaving whiney Brighton riders with only 25% R160s until it was discontinued. The "big event" of the weekend is the bus festival in Downtown Brooklyn, which I am sure will be chaotic with all you railfans fighting over stupid things.

Back to this topic of the (A)(C), I hope the swap is permanent because R46s look better on the (C) and R32s look better on the (A). The R46s are also fatter, slower, and have more problems than the R32s, so they should run on the part-time local.

And why would you call him an idiot? I'm sure he was being sarcastic...it was no reason to call him names. You could @ least show some respect to a TA worker

Watch who the fvck your calling an idiot homey.

I did not call you an idiot, I was saying it was not sure of you were being one, though based on my experience, many TA workers are idiots, especially those who yell at us for videotaping or photographing!

  2. I hate that announcement more than anything else since it's so long and unecessarily increases the station dwell time. One time my TOD wasn't working so I had to make manual announcements at most of the stations, and it was great since we got out of the stations much quicker than had the train made the "This is a Pelham Bay Park-bound 6 train making express stops in the Bronx" announcement at every stop.

That announcement does not really increase dwell time because the Lexington Avenue Line is so packed, it takes a while for everyone to get on or off the train. Usually from my experiences at Hunter College, the announcement finishes playing even before boarding and disembarking is done. The only exception is 59th Street because of the "A free transfer is also available to the (F) train by walking to the Lexington Avenue-63rd Street station and using your MetroCard" announcement, which I find lame. If the R62As return to the (6), your supervisors might make you manually say "This is a Pelham Bay Park-bound 6 train making express stops in the Bronx," which I'm sure you don't want. Nonetheless, this announcement is much better than confusing riders with "This is a Bronx-bound 6 express train," which makes them think the train is running express in Manhattan.

    Boo :(

Is there any reason why they retained the half-width cabs on (some of) the Flushing cars instead of making them full-width? Not that I'm complaining, mind you, but it seems odd to do considering how cramped the cabs on the 62As look.

Well there is still the R62s...Oh wait are those going too?

Railfans love the RFW, but trains certainly do not. It is very uncomfortable for a motorman to sit in a space they can barely fit in for over an hour. They don't want to get wedgies. On trains that have long routes, the motorman usually gets out of his seat and stretches in the full width cab between stops. For the (7), sometimes, the motorman leaves the door wide open for space and do not allow anyone to look out the front window, which I do not find very safe. Conductors also hate having to move between cars to open doors on the other side, which is not legal anyway.

    And the R42s...

Don't forget the R42s as well...

The R42s are being retired with the R32s. In fact, they will probably retire before 2015 since they are only 48 of those shit cans at ENY while 222 veterans remain at 207th Street. No matter which service the R62As go to, they will probably not have a RFW unless they go back to the (3) using nine cars like I suggested.

  3. I hope the R62As do not return to the (6). The weekday afternoon <6> has my favorite NTT announcement ("This is a Pelham Bay Park-bound 6 train making express stops in the Bronx") I doubt the <7> will have a similar announcement when it uses the R188s since it has such a short route. (6) riders will not be pleased to see old cars on their service as it will greatly downgrade it (just like how the (E) suffered the biggest downgrade in history when it switched from R32s to R42s or when the (B) and (N) switched from R68/68As to R40s). Why else was the (6) the first train to get the R142As? It is because Pelham riders wanted them and I remember how happy everyone was when the R142s debuted on that train 12 years ago. I am going to laugh if ridership on the (6) drops or Pelham residents write petitions demanding the NTTs go back on their train (I remember seeing a couple of petitions from (C) riders demanding that the MTA give it new cars, but they all been deleted because that cannot be done as riders on the services that the R160s run on all love them).

The R62s should return to the (4) because it had always used those cars and was the last train to be 100% NTTs, so I am sure Jerome Avenue riders will not mind riding a car type that they rode on all the time years ago. In fact, the (7)'s R62As should go on the (3) (making it nine cars like it was before the R142/142As arrived), send its R62s and any spare R62As to the (4), and put the R142/142As from Jerome Avenue to the (6). Another good idea is to send all Corona R62As to the (5) instead so that it would be easier to distinguish it from the (2) and (4). It is funny how people run up or down the stairs thinking their train is in the statin when it really is not (i.e. they need to the (2) or (4) when a (5) shows up or vice-versa) and it is stupid for the (2) and (5) to share cars because of the strip maps. Riders get annoyed when they are need to look at a strip map and the one on the train is that of the route it is running on. Pelham riders would not care if the (6) is 100% R142s or 100% R142As as long as they have new cars.

  4. No, no matter if you say please with ice cream and a cherry on top, lol!!!!

If my ex-hard drive didn't fry, I would have plenty of ex-side girlfriend "nice" pics for my desktop background. Cause of that, I was forced to go into those virus ridden websites to get some pics for screen-savers, and a desktop background...........
