  1. That's the exact reason why I hate (not dislike, HATE) the R32s. A lot of people over-glorify/worship them like it was the best thing invented since sliced bread. I'm not gonna lie, at 1 point I did like them, but then everyone started talking, and talking, and talking about them to the point where I say scrap them all.

    end rant lol

NUOH MY GAWD The R32s are liek the bestest thing since sliced bread!!111!!one!1 HOW DARE you say scrap them! HOW ABOUT I SCRAP YOU!!1ONE1!!O HAIL THE ARR 32S DEATH TO THE 160s!!11!

(P.S.: This is sarcasm for those that would eventually take this seriously ;))

  2. Breaking: AT&T, T-Mobile Kill Merger

The biggest corporate deal of the year is dead.

AT&T ran into a buzzsaw of government opposition to its proposed $39 billion takeover of mobile company T-Mobile USA. And now the companies are throwing in the towel.

AT&T said in a statement that it and T-Mobile parent company Deutsche Telekom have agreed to drop the merger, which was first announced in March.

    The statement says, in part:

“The actions by the Federal Communications Commission and the Department of Justice to block this transaction do not change the realities of the U.S. wireless industry. It is one of the most fiercely competitive industries in the world, with a mounting need for more spectrum that has not diminished and must be addressed immediately. The AT&T and T-Mobile USA combination would have offered an interim solution to this spectrum shortage. In the absence of such steps, customers will be harmed and needed investment will be stifled.”

AT&T said it will record a $4 billion pretax accounting charge in the fourth quarter, to reflect the value of the breakup fee it owes to Deutsche Telekom. AT&T already had set aside the money. AT&T also said it will enter into a “mutually beneficial” mobile roaming agreement with Deutsche Telekom.

Shares of AT&T are slipping less than 1% in after-hours trading.

Sprint shares are spiking about 7% in after-hours trading. Sprint would have been left to twist in the wind as a distant No. 3 U.S. wireless carrier if T-Mobile and AT&T had combined. Shares of Dish Network, an opponent of the AT&T-TMobile merger, also are higher in after-hours trading.

All I have to say is GOOD.

  3. I have signed up for the Traffic Checker exam and I got my letter in the mail today that I got selected to take the exam on November 7th. Just wondering how to prepare for Traffic Checker exam and is there a study guide for this exam? The letter only stated to bring some No.2 pencils, Calculator, Watch, Eraser to the exam.

    Thanks for letting me know.

    Hopefully they send me mine.

  4. That's why I don't buy HP laptops anymore. HP desktops are far better.

Invest in an external HDD and save your stuff before the rest of the laptop derps.

That failure was on NVidia's part. Faulty graphics card.

    http://www.nvidiasettlement.com/pdfs/NVF_NOT.pdf

The HDD is really paying off. Now my main concern is:

Where the #2 has all my RAM gone? On top of that, my CPU usage has shot up 75%. Maybe I should build a desktop.

What do you mean "where has it gone"?

The old PowerPC iMac I had from July 2005* to August 2011 and Intel iMac from August 2011 to today makes me very happy that I don't have that bull rubbish called a Dell PC again.

*Mom owned it for two years prior to July 2005, but used it sparingly, so when my Dell went kaput, she gave it to me.

Dell is rubbish. Buy HP :)

  5. That looks like typical Samsung SpinShit quality.

I wish I would have known about SamShit's failure prone crap BEFORE $100 was spent, one year passed and multiple GB of data was lost. But that one lasted longer. It was a replacement for this POS

Now it's in the same boat.

  6. On August 31, 2011, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) informed Deutsche Telekom that it will file a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia seeking a permanent injunction blocking the proposed stock purchase agreement between AT&T and Deutsche Telekom under which AT&T will acquire T-Mobile USA from Deutsche Telekom.

The Company is very disappointed by the DOJ's action, and will join AT&T in defending the contemplated merger against the complaint in court. DOJ failed to acknowledge the robust competition in the U.S. wireless telecommunications industry and the tremendous efficiencies associated with the proposed transaction, which would lead to significant customer, shareholder, and public benefits. We appreciate the DoJ's willingness to discuss possible remedies to address the competitive concerns.

Disgusting. Since all T-Mobile can do is sell out their own customer base, even if this merger doesn't happen, I may still move to Sprint.

  7. T-Mobile may eventually be AT&T in the future, so I wouldnt be surprised.

In other news....sad news that is....WebOS is OFFICIALLY dead! I saw A LOT of potential for WebOS to grow especially if it branched out to other brands! HP recently was in talks with Samsung so we'll know soon enough.

Speaking of webOS........I went to nearly EVERY Best Buy in Manhattan (and one in the Bronx) to find that damn TouchPad. Sold out. Everywhere.
