its a western manufacturer. Note: The a380 is longer than the 744. This aircraft is longer than both of those, and the one you mentioned iirc.
a340-600

That is incorrect sir.
only thing that comes to mind is An-225 Cossack

Speaking of CYTZ, the CN Tower makes a lovely spot to look down onto the airport.
The airport is only gonna start to get better with the increased of service that is gonna happen in 2011

Thanks for that post! I didn't know that. If you have another one, go ahead!

Ok come 2011 beside Porter Airlines, what other 2 other carriers in 2011 will be serving Toronto's Billy Bishop Airport (Toronto City Centre/Island Airport)
The answer is Air Canada and United Continental Holdings, Air Canada will provide service with its partner Sky Regional ---the newly created regional airline that will be operating on behalf of Air Canada out of YTZ and United Continental Holdings will be providing service as Continental Connection operated by Colgan Air

That is correct! You are up!

No. The title has been taken away from Delta.
United Continental Holdings? since I forgot about the merger

Wow. I just guessed at that one too!
What is the largest airline in the US?

Quebec City and Halifax only got them they were Ordered under MCI but delivered after the Nova take over. Rumor has it soon after Nova dumped the model. There were earlier GM models with the fishbowl back that were ordered in 1982 that serviced HSR, MT, OC Transpo and TTC
after going back and looking the Quebec City units where MCI and the Halifax was the order that was ordered Through MCI but when Nova took over so delivered as Nova units

TTC Had them as the fishbowl rear. I have a paper model. And OC Transpo has the Onces with the MCI rear. They were bought used from HSR. One unit still exists as a Museum Bus, Bus # 8222.\
OC Transpo and HSR had the fishbowl rear as the TTC order as they were one big order from the Province of Ontario at the time, They were all 1982-1983 models TTC, went to Mississuaga after, there is one of the Mississuaga units still around privately owned in the LA area

WTH? I had no idea! I though all 16 had the original rear end. Thanks! Too bad none of those ever made it to America.

These cars will only be run on the Yonge-University-Spadina line and not the Sheppard or Bloor-Danforth line. The 1st order will kill off the H4's and H5's with the second order killing off the H6's. When all are in service the YUS will just be Rocket cars with T1's on the Sheppard and BD lines only.

I have always taken transit and just slowly started liking the buses and trains.

Mayoral Candidate Rob Ford has released his Transportation Plan for the city if her were to become mayor. One thing includes scrapping streetcars and replacing them with buses.
It can be seen here
He seriously expects money for all this will fall from the sky. We'd have this all plus more if there was just money. I seriouslt don't know where he got his facts from. "Buses hold the same amount of people as streetcars, Subways cost the same as LRT and Streetcars pollute the city."
From what I've calculated, 411 buses are gonna be needed to replace the streetcars. 2 buses for 1 CLRV and 3 buses for 1 ALRV. 411 buses replacing 247 streetcars... I don't see a cost saving in that.
Dont worry his story is all BS it would cost more they he is saying and he cant do anything with transit city since Metrolinx is funding it

Wow! Thats is interesting. Looks like the TTC is an agency I would love to fan! MTA needs to take some pointers from them! You guys are lucky! I will definitely have to check things out up there one day. I've been to Toronto a few times, but never had a chance to check out your system. Hopefully I will have a chance before all the RTS' are gone.
The RTS should be around for another 4-6 years and they are all based out of Arrow road division

Most if not all of them should be gone by 2012. They are being replaced Orion VIIs. 95 are to be delivered by the time the Fishbowls retire.
There are supost to be 41 left end of this year and 35 VII 's coming next year so I dont see TTC keeping 7 New looks so I wouldnt be shocked if they were gone by next summer

they should at list save 5 fishbowls
There is a rumor that a bus muesem in Ireland may be intrested in taking one from TTC
