Thats what I thought, but I figured I had to be wrong. So you pretty much start out at top pay. Lol Does everything change come contract negotiations? ie; vacation days, top pay, etc... This is purely out of curiosity.

Uh ohhh. I'm having trouble tracking down my birth cert and ss card and I have to report Wednesday am.!!!!!! Anyone have some insight as to what may happen in this situation? I'm going to dig through my file cabinet when I get home from work, worse case I can get a copy of birth cert mon or tues, but the ss card takes 10 days.

I doubt that's true. The last promo exam for T/O only yielded about 800 candidates and they went through that list in about a year.

Is it Dickie type pants? Do they provide it? Do you get to ride all mass transit free of charge? Ie; LIRR, subway, busses, etc,,,,, last question. How do they break ties from the exam? I've heard everything from the day you registered, to last 5 of your SS #. I share my score w/ a lot of people. I was lucky enough to be towards the head of the pack. Thanks for the info.

Is there an easy way to get your criminal background? I had an incident when I was 17, (20 yrs ago) still in high school. Stupid, but still an incident. I'm pretty sure it was expunged but I want to make sure.
