I'm trying to see how my former routes in Queens (Q3, 77, 111, 113, and 114) are affected....

This one serves Sections 1-3 and Bay Plaza, whereas the previous one became the current Bx26 (which served all sections prior to June 2010). The previous iteration was a rush-hour variant, whereas this is a daily, all-day variant.
Thanks for the information....

What is the difference between the new version of the (Bx25) and the one that was discontinued a few years ago?

That's a safety-related detour to avoid the U-turn at 145th Road.
I figured as much. Since the reconstruction on Springfield Blvd, I've seen a few buses that couldn't make that U turn down there at 145th Road. There were few changes in the area traffic wise once the reconstruction was done.....

A change that wasn't mentioned was the Q77 terminal change in Springfield Gardens. Is this also permanent or just for the summer?

Well, thanks to the snowstorm, I got to ride both 8090 and 8503 for my trip home the other night......

SBS Vending machines are going up in the Rockaways....

Back in the day, the Ridgewood bound B52 bus route ran on Quincy Street. I remembered when we used to transfer from the B46 to the B52 to head over to my cousin's house in Bushwick, we had to walk up the block and around the corner on Quincy for the B52...
The B26 always ran on Halsey St in both directions. Halsey St is definitely tighter than Gates Av. Especially North of Broadway...

Now if only the local variant could be added to the uptown on the R160.
True....

Its about time that they're adding Fulton St Exp to the uptown R46 signage....

It was on Nov 12, 1978 when the B50 started and it ran on Avenue K for about three weeks or three months, I am not sure. The residents of Avenue K protested and with the help of elected officials got it removed. I think it should have stayed on Avenue K. The difference this time is that DOT and the MTA won't listen if the residents protest this time.
MTA tried again in the 90s. The B50 was put back on Flatlands Avenue shortly thereafter.....

I remember when the original B50 was rerouted onto Avenue K between Flatlands and Kings Highway in both directions. It didn't last long....
I believe that this was in the 90s when I was in high school.....

I noticed a couple of Orion VII on the Brewer routes over the past few days......

Are 54 buses needed for the M14 route?

Lol at the diner comment. Like a Seinfeld episode....
Yeah, I tried to avoid center chain restaurants in certain areas, like Brooklyn Gateway Center.
Just too crowded no matter what time of day it is....
Green Acres is a little better, although now Sonic is getting a lot of attention.....
The Bx29 is a child of the Bx12....

The only place that I go to on City Island is Sammy's at the end of the island(last stop on the Bx29). I went to one other spot right at the beginning of the island a couple of years ago, but it always been Sammy's...
I remember getting stuck on the island for about 2 hours due to a worker from Sammy's that was killed in a hit and run last summer...
Seafood City always looked cheesy to me, with the Toyota Scion and its flashing lights in front of the restaurant.....
I went to Dallas BBQs in Times Square last weekend. We sat next to a group that was very loud, led by an effeminate male. I was just happy they were finishing up as we sat down. This was about 12:30 in the afternoon.
I've been to the Dallas BBQs at the junction. Nice and spacious. Im pretty sure they'll be making their money now with all the graduations coming up....
Give me a nice diner and Im good, although one of my favorite diners, Lindenwood Diner can be lit at times.....
The late night barbershops are another story......
As far as Fat Tuesdays, like Jigga said, "Grand opening, Grand closing..."

I know that destination signs on the buses have improved, but still needs some improvement.
Especially the destination sign for the southbound B17 and Q17......
Yeah, I know there are better things to talk about, but its a random thought that popped up after riding the Q17 to "Archer Ave"...

Most articulated routes are using 40-foot buses today. The Bronx is loaning some Jamaica LFS' and there's an RTS on the Bx1.
Confirmed. Rode 4655 on the Q10LTD this morning. It's all 40 footers on the Q10 and Q111/113/114 today. I passed by JFK depot on the Q3 and all the artics are parked up.
Who was the "transit enthusiast" on the Q3 this morning????

685 is at the vendor
Confirmed. 683 and 685 are next to each other. 680 is by herself as 679 was moved.....

679-80 are at the JFK Vendor Lot, along with 5999, 6003, 6005, 6007, 6009, and 6013. I think that I saw 6011 as well. As recent as this morning from the Q10 bus that I was traveling on from work......
