Shitty piece. If you're gonna piece a subway car at least have a creative style.

59th Street (Lex Express, both directions). In this case we're talking northbound, as there are no timers to slow you up (yet). It's the IRT equivalent of that nice quick run from 59-42 on the .
You know everything. Were you the one that said you've operated every line in the system some time back?

Lol. Nice catch! Really adds to that ghetto vibe.

Oh yeah forgot bout Cypress Hills/Ridgewood. Most T/O don't challenge 59th and only get it up to bout 45 before coasting/braking.
Wait sorry I'm lost, 59th?

Lol. Don't leave out Cypress Hills. More than half of the neighborhood is full of Spanish people. I've seen my share of very good-looking Latinas at Crescent St, Clevelend St, and of course Cypress Hills. 75th St afterschool hours - it's heaven.

Ewww Someone peed at the 149 Street GC station
Can someone get electricuted if they peed on the tracks?
People piss in the subway daily. If their urine comes in contact with the live rail (otherwise known as the third rail which carrys electricity) as he/she is urinating, it's game over for that person.

Cool. Since you had a spot for the BMT did you ever think about making the switch?

well i was a conductor in the irt, i flagged in the irt,ind and bmt. now that im a student train operator in the B div i am starting to enjoy it. today i took a
R46-R train from jamaca yard to euclid on the C and back. then i got to relay it back for it to go in service at 71st. so while i miss the irt and the comfort of working close to home i am liking the bmt/ind.
Cool. Always interesting to hear MTA workers' opinions.

Due to a power failure at 18 Av on the Culver, the I was on discharged at Church. About ten minutes later it ran light s/b to...? Maybe someone has the answer to that...

Just curious...
I favor the BMT because of its diverse fleet, elevated segments, and the neighborhoods each line cover.

Near the East 105th St station on the Canarsie Line. Before the elimination of the grade crossing in 1973.
Interesting photo isn't it?
Many interesting nostalgic photos of the subway can be found here.

Well thank you t/o for giving me something to watch. I was just now staring outside my bedroom window (yeah I know, I'm bored) when I saw a t/o rushing into Cypress Hills Manhattan bd around thirty-five mph. Now the timer in that station clears around ten mph. Dude tried to brake in time - nope he got his ass tripped. Dude came in so hard that the foundation of my house started shaking, thou it never shakes when trains leave Jamaica bd.

I didn't know that the slightest grade would get a train moving. A m/m operating an R68 on the ( released the brakes as he heared the door chime at Beverley Rd s/b, the train moved a few inches before he gave power to the train.
Also, gotta love rushing into Sheepshead Bay n/b. Those tracks got an R160 rocking back and forth like an R32.

Most of the time I do shop online for the same reason. Thou when it comes to clothes I'd rather do it the ol' fashion way to see if it's the right fit. I don't want to wait a fortnight to get a pair of sneakers that might not even be the right size when I can go to a shopping center, see if it's the right size, and wear it out the following day.

Lol that place is way better than KP, my friend loves the Japanese food in the food court.
Agreed! I never knew Japanese food was served there. Gotta try it out on my next visit.

I do have to say, out of all the IND stations I've visted Woodhaven Blvd is the most interesting in my book. Love the looks and sounds of the trains as they speed through that nice curve.

What's up with the 142A's? I went on a trip to the Metro Museum of Art, as we were heading back the "This is a..." and "The next stop is..." announcements were played a few seconds before the opening of the doors.
