They want me to list all my work experience since high school. I have had 100's of temp job if I had to list them all and get fired for missing some of them I would be in trouble. Also, there's some question about have you been disciplined, reprimanded, fired, and etc. from a job before. In some of my cases, it depends on what they mean by that question. I have been reprimanded before 15+ years ago. I have no criminal history. I can see someone easily not remembering or missing answers and get fired or not called for the TO position. It's a lot of pages to fill out in that book.

I went today and got the booklet. There are 50-60 people showing up. Some of them are showing up for other positions. I finished by 10am. The booklet they gave to fill out is very specific. I briefly took a look at it. They want you to list every job you had since high school. I'm not sure if that includes every temp job, because it says something about temp jobs being 4 months or something like that. I had a lot of temp jobs for 1 week. Somehow I feel that I might not become a TO, because of this background check The urine test wasn't a pleasant experience for me

Thanks man. Just knowing all these rules, sick time, pension, holiday pay, deadhead time, extra, extra, OT pay. There's a lot of info here to know. I never had a job like this If I'm at about 300 on the list, do you think I'll get called for December class, if I pass medical and background?

If I live four stops from Stillwell Ave .and choose the B division, they might send me somewhere else as extra extra? Do we get paid for travel time? I have my first meeting on Friday. Do I have to bring in my HS diploma? Thats what the letter in the mail said. Also, when they give me a booklet, do I have to fill out that 21 page booklet there? From the application it says 91.50 will be deducted from your first paycheck for testing fees

The letter I got in the mail says to report the past 10 years work experience. Does that mean they only check the past 10 years? Also, it says "Were you ever dismissed, removed or disqualified from a position, including public employment?" Does that include being layoffs from different jobs?

For those of you that got the call to go back the 2nd time for medical processing. What was the time from the 1st visit (handing in paper work) to the 2nd visit (medical processing)? I'm assuming everything went well with the first visit. Thanks.

What about someone that has borderline high blood pressure? Would that automatically disqualify me? I haven't had my blood pressure checked in awhile. I gained a few pounds so I think it went up. My blood pressure was okay before like 2 years ago.

If top pay is 32 an hour, there's very little difference than what they are offering me to start Shift differential is 1.49 to work nights? How much do Train Dispatchers or Train Service Supervisors make? Do they make much more?

I got a letter in the mail. I'm below 300. I was wondering what happens during the medical test? I guess they do a reg physical, eye and hearing test? Do they do a blood and urine test on the same day? Is there some test on your mental well being? I saw the salary figure and it came as a surprise to me. What is top pay for a TO? I thought it would be a few dollars lower. What happens after I pass the 1st physical at Livingston st in Brooklyn? Someone said we have to wait 6 months? If all goes well, I'll be in school car for 6 months? If I pass school car, I'll be on the road on probation for 6 months? For the first 6 months I'll be on standby (oncall) and I'll have to work long hours and weekends? I would think the list might close if you are in 2000. It's been 2 years and they are up to 600 on the competitive? Maybe there's 200 to go. So maybe the first 300 on the competitive will be called within a year.
