  1. Guys, right now the plan is to finish Phase I and then stop. Back in 2007 when they started, their original expected completion date was end of 2012, and now it's pushed back to 2018 and probably won't be done until 2020. There is no money, nor is there any intention of completing any of the other phases right now. Also, much to my surprise, construction on Second Avenue was up and running yesterday, so the hurricane doesn't appear to have affected it.
  2. via CPW local suspended downtown via 8th Avenue express
  3. All trains run with reduced headways to compensate for the lack of trains. I still don't get it...
  4. Maybe I didn't phrase it correctly, but the simple solution I was looking for was just via Broadway local and via the tunnel...
  5. I have absolutely no idea whatsoever at all about what this means. Just run all trains at reduced headways using as many available employees there are. NEXT All switches along the Broadway line between Canal and 57th (including the crossover north of it) are set to the STRAIGHT position and cannot be changed. This means that trains going up Broadway via the bridge must go to 63rd Street, and no switches along Broadway may be used to terminate trains. Reroute the .
  6. A few months back I rode a from 86th to Brooklyn Bridge and it was one of the fastest rides downtown ever.
  7. runs via Lexington Avenue Express
  8. A bit vague; I'll assume that you only mean the tunnels underneath the East River. runs between Ely Av and Jamaica Center runs in 2 sections: Jamaica to 21 St-Queensbridge and 57 St to Coney Island (I'm not running any via the because at a time like this, the last thing you need is delays due to excessive merging) runs to Broad Street (I guarantee that Wally will send M trains to 168th... just wait)
  9. Let me explain to you why this isn't a feasible solution. 1. has to merge with the , which brings it close to, if not over, 30tph 2. and have to merge with , which is just under 30tph or so All of this unecessary merges will without a doubt causes delays. ONLY THE A/C/F lines are affected. Your solution delays the , and possibly the . "The and tracks are set to the Brighton line." That makes no sense because those tracks don't connect. That's like saying that the 60th Street tunnel tracks are set for 6th Avenue; there isn't any connection.
  10. The tracks aren't connected to the Brighton line. Track map
  11. You said that the must use Brighton... In that case, via express, via local. runs via the normal route in Brooklyn and runs via the normal route in Brooklyn. Your "scenario" makes no sense whatsoever.
  12. You solved it yourself already. run via Brighton.
  13. You're supposed to give a scenario about which stations are closed. You provided a solution; what am I supposed to respond with to this?
  14. Running trains through Coney Island would cause a lot of delays due to the track layout. It's designed as a terminal, not a thru station. terminates at Bay 50th Street terminates at West 8th Street terminates at 86th Street
  15. Treat it as a FASTRACK, as in late night closure only? runs between the Bronx and 96th Street: running express between 137th and 96th Street downtown runs between the Bronx and 96th Street runs between the Bronx and 96th Street operates late night between the Bronx and Flatbush via Lexington Avenue express
  16. PLEASE BE SPECIFIC AND SAY WHICH STATIONS ARE AFFECTED. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU MEAN BY "IRT New Lots Line" I'll assume that you mean the after Franklin unaffected runs to Flatbush Av at all times except late night, when it runs its usual late night pattern runs to Flatbush Av and replaces the at all times runs to between the Bronx and Bowling Green at all times besides late night when it runs its usual late night pattern trains run at reduced service as to not overload Flatbush Av. In addition, some trains may terminate at Bowling Green.
  17. - runs between Bedford Av and Canarsie - A single track shuttle runs between 1st Avenue and Bedford Av. - Increased M14 service
  18. If your crazy fantasy can handle all those trains, then the can all terminate at Brooklyn Bridge. Have the and whatever else you want handle Brooklyn with a transfer at Fulton. I'm not really enjoying these future scenarios, mainly because it's really unclear on what the service patterns and what the track configurations are.
  19. Excuse me, but am I the only who does not see any switches anywhere near 14th Street ? Are there switches there but not displayed on the track maps? If not then I have no idea what you're all trying to do.
  20. WHY? The isn't even affected... please explain the logic behind that.
  21. runs in 2 sections: 1. 207th to 125th via local, skips 135th street downtown 2. 34th Street Penn Station to Rockaways/Lefferts runs between 42nd Street and Brighton Beach runs between 34th Street and Euclid Av, via express in Manhattan runs in 2 sections: 1. 205th to 125th via local, skips 135th downtown 2. 42nd Street to Coney Island
  22. via local. Some Queensbound terminate at Queens Plaza, some Queensbound terminate at 21 St Queensbridge. Better to have some delays than to force people to make extra transfers are have extreme overcrowding at those stations.
  23. ... NEXT: All switches between 125th Street and 145th Street are set to the STRAIGHT position. This means that any train that enters 125th Street must go to 145th Street top level on the same track they started on, and vice versa going the other way.
