Pablo M 201 Posted February 2, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 2, 2010 Wire problem delays trains into N.Y. Penn Station By The Associated Press February 02, 2010, 5:56AM (Kinda old article yes I know, and service has resumed on kind of the norm, still some delays due to repair of overhead wire.) Overhead wire problems are causing delays for Amtrak and NJ Transit passengers. The problem is in the south tunnel in Manhattan. A call to Amtrak seeking information has not been returned. NJ Transit spokeswoman Penny Bassett Hackett said there are delays of 20 to 30 minutes in and out of New York's Penn Station for Northeast Corridor, Midtown Direct and North Jersey Coast Line trains. http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2010/02/wire_problem_delays_trains_int.html ----------------------------------------------------------------------- So a second day of trouble strikes the railroad, except yesterday's was just two jumpers, with the 2nd causing the real disruption, SMH.
