Guys if this news story from a online news wire service is wrong, please dont shoot me lol. Anyhow Fox-TV and former NBC talk show host Conan O Brien are according to sources close to a deal that would the one-time "Tonight Show" Host to start a new late night show as early as Sept. 2010.

The big news in this attached story was that Fox-TV wanted O Brien to make a 'guest apperence' on an American Idol special for charity as a so called 'test run" for his likely kick off of his new show in the Fall. NBC-TV denied it on grounds that Conan was breaking his 6-month 'no compete' contact as part of his recent buyout on a rival station even for charity. For more read this link. Reactions?

FYI. Plus according to same sources O Brien will like his likely rival david Letterman if the Fox deal goes down, have 'total control' of that 11pm hour as Producer/Director as well.
