Gas leak probe halts No. 1 train service

No. 1 train service was interrupted for almost an hour as firefighters investigated a gas leak nearby, transit officials said.

Train service was out until 12:30 p.m. between Dyckman Street station in Manhattan and 242nd Street/Van Courtlandt Park station in the Bronx.

The Fire Department asked New York City Transit to cut power on the line as firefighters and Con Edison worked to control a gas leak near 230th Street and Broadway in the Bronx.
