Downed lines halt trains on Pascack Valley Line

Trouble for NJ Transit rail passengers who ride the Pascack Valley Line.

Service is suspended because power lines are down across the tracks in River Edge.

NJ Transit spokesman Dan Stessel says Public Service Electric & Gas crews are making repairs. However, Stessel says that could take time because two utility poles are believed down.

Commuters can use NJ Transit buses or ride Main or Bergen line trains.
