Pablo M 201 35 Posted March 28, 2008 Share #1 Posted March 28, 2008 Starting next weekend, HBLR trains would be single tracking from Marin Blvd to Harborside Financial Center. Reason why is supposedly theres going to be serious work done on the curve thats on Essex Street by the station in front of the Gomen Sacks Building. Hudson-Bergen Light Rail: Weekends April 5-May 11 - Trains Operate Every 15-30 Minutes Due to Track Work Effective Date: March 18, 2008 On weekends, April 5 through May 11, Hudson-Bergen Light Rail will perform necessary track work on the 90-degree turn near Essex Street Station. The project requires that one of two tracks be taken out of service. Hudson-Bergen Light Rail service will be modified, as follows: *On Saturdays and Sundays, trains will operate at 30-minute intervals on two service routes: Hoboken–22nd Street and Tonnelle Avenue–West Side Avenue. *Service between Hoboken and Tonnelle Avenue will operate normally. *Customers boarding at stations served by both service routes (between Liberty State Park and Pavonia-Newport) will have service every 15 minutes, rather than every 7-8 minutes. *A shuttle train will supplement service between 22nd Street and Liberty State Park, enabling customers traveling to/from Bayonne to transfer to/from West Side Avenue trains. *At Essex Street Station, one platform will be closed when track work is being conducted. All customers should use the open platform to board trains in either direction. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
