Transitfan.com Charters - Upcoming Events

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I am one of the charter organizers on another transit board, as we have 2 upcoming events happening in the next month or so.

Here are the details:

STTR (Trois-Rivieres) 1994 NovaBus Classic

July 31st , 2011, Time: TBA

The Charter would last 4 hours. We were able to negociate a price of 75$/hour + taxes for this charter. It will be a busfan and transit enthusiest as our driver.

So, here's a little a little chart with the prices and the number of people:

15: 23$

20: 17$

30: 12$

So we need 12 people at least.

Think about this, it's an excellent price for a rollsign bus, and also considering how the STTR is with busfans, we are sure to get a 1994 NovaBus Classic.

So far we have 11 people who are interested in this charter, with 8 of those who have confirmed.

OC Transpo Orion V (Ottawa)

August 7th 2011 - Time: TBA

With recent rumours flooting around that OC Transpo is about to retire all their remianing Orion Vs, here is a perfect opurtunity to host a charter.

We need at least 16 people to make this charter happen.

Here is a prospective charter route:

anyways here is the route with lunch stops at McDonalds, Burger King and Tim Hortons

Pick Up is at Lincoln Fields Station

Exit onto Ottawa River Parkway

Turn into Dominion Transit Station enterance

Pull into Westboro Station for photo Op

Exit back onto Transitway and continue to Tunney's Pasture Station

Turn Left on Tunneys Pasture Driveway

Right on Columbine Driveway

Left on Parkdale Avenue

Right onto Ottawa River Parkway

Turn left to Vimy Place ( also known as Canadian War Museum ) for Photo Op

Right at Chaudieres Bridge/booth Street.

left at Lebreton Transit Station

Right on Wellington St for photo Op then go around Lebreton and Exit Left on Slater

Left on Kent St.

Right on Wellington ( go past Parliment Hill )

Right on colonel by Drive

Left on Laurier Avenue West

Right on Nicholas Street.

Right onto Trans Canada Highway

Right onto Exit towards St.Laurent BLVD

Left on Bourassa St.

Right on Gladwin crescent which is where we will park the bus and all restaurants are 2-3 minutes away

Right on Lancaster

Right on St.Laurent

Right on Innes

Righto on Bantree which is our last photo opp which i promise you will like

Right now the charter price is set at 29$ per person, as OC Transpo is little more pricy than the STTR when it comes to renting a bus for this type of event.

In any event, if you are interested, plese post here and send me an email

transitfancharterjoseph@gmail.com

just to make sure I get the notification of attendence.

There will be a waiver for people under the age of 18 who wish to attend, must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. This waiver will also apply to people over the age of 18, but the parent or guardian signature is not required.

We have the right to refuse anybody to board the charter, and a list of rules will be posted once we recieve them from the repected transit agencies.

Thanks

Joseph McArdle
