deli12 Posted August 10, 2012 Share #1 Posted August 10, 2012 Hey All, I just got the letter today to take the exam for power cable maintainer. Any ideas about what's on the test? Is it written, practical, or both?
Donald Posted August 11, 2012 Share #2 Posted August 11, 2012 From the exam announcement: "You will be given a practical test. A score of at least 70% is required to pass this test. The practical test may require you to read and interpret blueprint and wiring diagrams; reading meters; test and splice power telephone cables; identify and use cable testing and maintenance tools and equipment; and make knots and rig a manhole for cable pulling. Veteran’s credits, if applicable, will be granted only to passing candidates. Veteran’s credits will be granted only to passing candidates who request that they be applied."
