Pablo M 201 Posted August 22, 2008 Share #1 Posted August 22, 2008 NJT got some major changes on the way for bus routes in Northern Hudson County, mainly buses that travel via Bergenline Avenue. Important Schedule Changes on Bus Routes 22, 84, 86, 89, 156, 158, 159, & 181 Beginning August 30, 2008.Effective Date: August 19, 2008 Beginning Saturday, August 30, new schedules will take effect on many NJ TRANSIT bus routes. Please note the highlighted changes below, which affect buses serving Bergenline Avenue and Park Avenue in northern Hudson County, Palisade Avenue in Jersey City, and Palisade Avenue in Fort Lee and Cliffside Park. Bus Route No. 22 Schedule adjustments, especially on Sundays. Adjusted travel time on most trips. At Bergenline Avenue Station, boarding location for 22X moved to bus lane 1. Bus Route No. 84 Schedule adjustments on weekdays and weekends. Adjusted travel times, especially on weekends. Bus Route No. 86 Major schedule adjustments, especially on weekdays. All service will begin/end at Bergenline Avenue Station. There will be no service between Bergenline Avenue Station and 90th Street in North Bergen. (See No. 89). Bus boarding location will be moved to lane 2 at Bergenline Avenue Station. Bus Route No. 89 Schedule adjustments on weekdays and weekends. Trips now ending at Park Avenue and 75th St. extended to Bergenline Avenue and 90th St. Bus Route No. 156 Schedule adjustments on weekdays and weekends, especially on Saturdays. Saturdays - New 156R River Road Express service will operate between Fort Lee, Cliffside Park and New York. This service will operate from Gate 201 in New York. Bus Route No. 158 Weekends - Schedule adjustments, including additional trips. Bus Route No. 159 Schedule adjustments, especially on weekends. Saturday trips leaving from Bergenline Avenue Station board in lane 1. Bus Route No. 181 Major schedule adjustments on weekdays and weekends. Check schedule carefully. There will be no midday service. Rush hour bus service will operate approximately hourly. When the No. 181 is not operating, customers may take any NJ TRANSIT bridge bus route between the George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal and Bridge Plaza (in Fort Lee) and use the No. 156 bus for travel in New Jersey. Bus boarding location will be moved to lane 3 at Bergenline Avenue Station. Please see timetables for additional schedule information. The surprising ones for me are: 1. No midday 181 service and the headways will be hourly for the rush. 2. Saturday 156R service! W00 h00! More options for me when I feel like taking a bus from Weehawken on saturdays. 3. Saturday 159 trips from the HBLR Bergenline Avenue station.
