My guess however would be that they took the nearest road or side street that would help them get around the accident site and back on their route. I'm not overly fimilar with that area so I can't spectulate on what the detours may have been. How bad were the delays? It would really be up to how long the detour was. Some detours don't cause that much of a delay while others probably cause a longer delay. My guess would be somewhere from probaly 30 minutes to an hour at most.
