fatbob Posted February 16, 2016 Share #1 Posted February 16, 2016 Anyone know the major differences of the two medical plans?
SubwayGuy Posted February 16, 2016 Share #2 Posted February 16, 2016 BCBS has copays, but you can go out of network. United has no copays, but you cannot go out of network.
fatbob Posted February 16, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted February 16, 2016 Thank you. How is the pool of Doctors to choose from? Is there major differences between the two plans?
SubwayGuy Posted February 17, 2016 Share #4 Posted February 17, 2016 Both have good networks of doctors to choose from. If you like your existing doctor, ask him/her what insurance they take, and you can see which you might prefer better. What I mentioned in my previous post are the most major differences. There are others, but they are less significant. If you get the United plan, just make sure whenever you get treated anywhere that your insurance is accepted BEFORE you get treated, or else you will get left holding the bag. If you can handle that, and staying completely in network, United saves you having to make copays which is nice.

Marcel876 Posted July 29, 2016 Share #9 Posted July 29, 2016 Any thoughts on the Dental Plan. Healthplex ? I been looking and it seems that all the good dentist stay far away from this plan. My original dentist wants nothing to do with it and when searching for new ones it seems they all have bad ratings in terms of service and bedside manner. Anyone found any good dentist with this plan ?
