Investigation into Accident Involving MTA Bus

Doing an investigation for litigation related to a bus accident here. MTA bus struck pedestrian. Pedestrian was actually ok but bus passengers were injured due to short stop. A few questions:

  • Is every MTA bus equipped with cameras? If so, are they inside the bus? Outside?
  • What is a paddle report/sheet?
  • What logs/records does the MTA or its driver maintain in their normal course of business?
  • Which documents maintained by the MTA would you subpoena in order to prove your case against them?

Thank you for any and all input.

For this, @random1,because this is a forum that has (MTA) employees on it - as members and lurkers, you won't get the answers you're seeking because employees who give that info are not covered by whistleblower statutes - which doesn't apply, and that info is largely not able to be released to "antagonistic parties" at most of the (MTA) employees' paygrades.

Whether you're a journalist or in the litigation industry, you'll want to do the research on your questions at (MTA) HQ on 2 Broadway, law libraries, or news articles.

You can search the forums, as NYCTF is public and searchable, but soliciting answers from employees to cause their employer to possibly lose a lawsuit is not going to happen - it's both a conflict of interest for them on the corporate and union side, and it can directly and indirectly affect their paychecks.
