  1.

I don't think they are. It would be a waste of time, and the subject would probably be gone by the time the cops get there.

True thou in the situation I saw earlier the cops were already on the train. Some guy jumped at Crescent St as a Jamaica bd train was entering the station. The turnstiles at that station are very visible to the T/O. Soon as he came on, a couple of officers came from the next car and told him to step off the train...

  2. love taking that curve just pass Hewes St heading northbound via J express, looks harmless as hell but the cars quickly jerk to the side, catching a lot of people off guard... then right after it takes the curve you hear the fast clickety clack of the tracks... has to be one of my favorite runs in the system. wonder how'd it would feel on a set of 32s in the last car...

  3. Yepp, that train you see up there is part of the same train you see below... Average length for our railroad trains range between 6,500 to 7,500 ft... Thou it isn't uncommon to spot 10,000 ft plus trains in the plains... Lets not forgot these loads aren't hauled by "locomotives" that run on overhead wires like in other countries, but real locomotives - diesel electric. Our passenger train system may not be the best, but our freight system is  in fact the best in the world. 5930.1374348656.jpg

  4. So much track work has been going on over the past few days... Not one day has passed this week where my ride wasn't hit with the 10 mph restriction and blowing of horns on the (J), (A), (Q), and (E) / (F)...

Not gonna state where n'd when but if it wasn't for the fast action of the T/O I had a couple track workers probably would've lost a limb or worst...

How the hell are you not gonna have your flags set, especially knowing the T/O won't see you guys 'till he comes over that hill... Train was hauling ass too...

  5. @Jamaica Line: Wait, you can get suspended for joking around like that? Damn, the (MTA) sure is more strict than companies over here.

On a sidenote: aside from the jokes he made, he does have quite a good and clear voice for announcing stuff!

I remember reading thru some thread a couple years back in which they discussed the consequences if a C/R were to be caught "fooling around" on the mic. Thou I'm honestly not to sure if they get suspended thou...

And I agree, he has the perfect voice to do radio IMO.

  6. I always thought the pantograph gates fit the 32s the best... Adds to that gritty look.

As for the slants, it definitely made for a more interesting/intimidating look. Especially when viewing them from the side where the slant ends would meet.
