@VG8- Dress sharply and you will indeed get some attention, even if you don't want it - that is what my grandfather told me..

@Jamaica Line - yes indeed you are correct, can get fake anything in jamaica, especially jamaica ave smh and lmaooo!

lol for real. If I were to shop for such clothes I'd go straight to the real dealer... I mean how can one be that dumb to think you can find such real clothing at your local clothing store...?

  2.

Lmaoo "Nikki Mirage"! I agree, the media has put lots of pressure on girls nowadays to look a certain way so that they are attractive, and they don't appreciate their bodies, etc. Its sad really, but its also the same for boys too...

Btw how do all of you feel about piercings? I have 3 (both ears; got the right one today and the left one in December) and snake eyes (tip of my tongue, got today as well, can't eat solid foods for a while -.-)

I have a few friends who have spike gauges. They're of course the rockstar/heavy medal type. Spike gauges are pretty cool IMO. I remember when seeing anyone with gauges was a 'lil rare. Now not so much... Of course not everybody can pull it off...

There have been a couple of girls that said I'd look pretty good with earrings, but the fact that I have long eyelashes and high cheekbones won't add up too well...

But I wonder who started the black males with earrings trend... I know it was during the 90s... I mean as a black teen myself, growing up in Flatbush, you'd find it normal to see another dude wearing earrings...

(damn, got me writing like B35 with the continues periods lol)

With that I'm off to bed...

  3. About females, I'd take Beyonce over Rihanna ANY DAY, Beyonce is beautiful, and Rihanna isn't ugly, she is just REALLY overrated, especially w/guys fighting over her...

Now Meagan Good has to be the most overrated woman of all time! You might say otherwise but in my opinion she's alright...

  4. I don't know how train engineers do it... Having to memorise every signal, crossing, curve, gradient, switch, siding, station, etc along their route. On top of that they're hauling a mile and a half long of freight. Ntm railroad trains don't brake like subway cars. When the engineer applys air, all the cars will not brake at the same time. The air travles down the train line (brake pipe, connected by air hoses between cars) at 800 ft per second. So in other words, if your train was 8000 ft long, the last car won't start braking 'till ten seconds later. You don't want your intial brake to be too hard resulting in the cars crashing into each other. Use the wrong combination of brakes and you can break the train apart. Use the airbrakes over a long period of time and you'll end up with a runaway. Very stresful job to say the least...

  5. No R62's can reach 45-50 between 96-72. Part of the reasoning the older trains (R62/R32 are the usual suspects) "seem" faster is because there is less insulation and they rock more, therefore railfans think they're actually going faster. A R62 can rock like heck and sound all loud yet be only going 35-38, which generally is what they can get, only reaching 40 right outside of 72nd.

Thou the 32s come third behind the 160s 'n 142s?

Yes they should! SoHo has to be like the best place to shop in NY, its has so many shops and most of them has soHo as their only location in the city (Stussy, for example) :D

Seriously couldn't agree with you more.

  7.

The kids here in Springfield Gardens are the same, all I see is "Hollister", its irritating, like they don't shop anywhere else? Lmao

I wear Hollister on bummy days but the shirts don't say "Hollister" all over it, it just has the seagull lol, but american eagle is better, not all of its shirts have the name all over it.. And those ppl who wear Hollister odee thinking that they have "swag" are just trying to fit in and look cool, which I don't like, but we can't blame them, everybody wants to fit in *shrug*... Let them look stupid, I guess lol....

    lol so true!

'n yea if I were to shop from there I'd only buy the shirts with the small logo...

They should visit SoHo 'n see what REAL swag looks like...

  8.

I think that is just what most of us teens wear today in general lol whether we go to public school (like you) or catholic school (like me ; i go to St. John's Prep)

    You're correct...

Thou venture to South Brooklyn and all the teens know over there is Hollister...

One thing I can't stand are peeps who think they have "swag" by wearing a plain shirt that says "Hollister" or "American Eagle". Looking like a walking billboard...

lol just really irks the sh*t out of me...

  9.

American Eagle (mostly shorts, jeans and polos; my third fav store), Hollister (I only own a few shirts from there), H&M, Stussy (my 2nd fav store) , Billionaire Boys Club, Urban Outfitters (my favorite store) , Nike, Jordan, Burberry (certain ppl wear that), Bape, Nautica, Zumiez and Polo.

Oh ok pretty much the same at my campus (Franklin K Lane)...

Lmao, its not amazing. ppl joke w/each other for fun, but they can be hurtful. There is occasionally drama. but its between girls lol. The guys are into sneakers (-___-), sports (typical), hiphop music (like me) and clothes (like me again). They joke around, but on dress down days (I go to catholic school, so there is uniforms) if you are wearing something fake or a brand that they think is cheap (USPA, Aeropostale, New Balance, Old Navy, etc.) they will tease you. If you are seen as unique, then you will stand out & make friends w/everybody... I am one of those ppl as I do share interests w/everyone (clothes, music, etc.), but I have interests that no one else has (my transit obsession) and I'm nice and funny. Funny ppl go far in my school :D Other than that, its a typical catholic high school, I like it lol....

What brands do you guys wear?

  11. I think it's more like 45 MPH. Still, pretty a great run IMO. I thought that Roosevelt Av - Queens Plaza/21 St-Queensbridge was faster.REALLY? Wow. Were you looking at the speedometer?

Sometime ago TwoTimer did mention hitting 56 entering Newkirk... Those 68As have great braking ability.

  12. There's a Bob Marley Blvd in east flatbush....

I seriously doubt the man ever stepped one foot in brooklyn.

    Lmao right?

Everytime I see that sign on Church n Nostrand I say the same...

Speaking of East Flatbush/Flatbush, I miss it there... Im forced to live where I live now (Cypress Hills) because of a certain situation...

Wanna be back around my Black Carribean folks!

  13. Sickest thing I heard/saw today as I was walking on Jamaica near Crescent, a (Z) T/O rounds the entire curve entering Cypress Hills on the switch power notch settings alone. Never heard the first tone of Alstom's propulsion go on for so long... Wonder if the T/O was young... Pretty sure most old timers wouldn't have the patience for that...

  14. So used to hearing newbies getting tripped that I don't even bother to look out my window anymore...

Thou some M/M can really make a tune out of those tracks as they come in yet still brake in time for the 10 mph timer. Kudos to them. ;)

  15. wow... So what's included in Obama's new health care bill? Every citizen is required to have RFID chips implanted in them. IBM even has a few commercials of this on YouTube (don't think it has officially aired thou).

    There goes our 'freedom'...

  16. As I was walking along McDonald Av, overhead I saw a train op with his head out the window as he was operating between Ditmas and 18 Av - just glazing at the streets below. The whole scene was pretty sick.

I know it's not such a big deal but while every other railfan has a thing for catching car numbers, I have a thing for catching the characteristics of a train op as he operates. My fav are the old motormen who lean towards the controlls as he operates, especially on a 32. Yea, call me weird if you want...
