  1. Me too. I've seen a C40LF bus with BusTime ads on it while it operated on the B63 yesterday.
  2. Aww man, I'm too late. MHV posted about it already.
  3. Did anyone hear about the collision involving a truck and MTA Orion VII CNG #7728 in Harlem today? Here's the link from WABC-TV: http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=resources/traffic&id=8715231
  4. Exactly. It makes no sense. For example, a typical NYCT local bus stop is a sign post, showing the route number and destination, along with a Guide-A-Ride box showing the route map and schedule. Meanwhile, a typical MTABC local bus stop is just a sign showing the route number, no more. Not knowing when the bus is coming and where it's going is very inconvenient. The MTA needs to have the NYCDOT update the MTA Bus Company bus stop signs, mainly in Queens.
  5. This morning, I saw Orion VII NG #3993 on the B54 bus route to Ridgewood Terminal. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, this bus has no side destination sign, which is odd. Maybe the sign was damaged and needed to be repaired or something?
  6. KEON'S RANDOM THOUGHTS MTA New York City Subway Edition Thursday, June 21, 2012 One day in the future, I hope to see R179 trains, however they look, on the and lines. And that's my random thought of the day.
  7. It's all good, B17EastNewYorkDepot! You had thoughts in your mind and you let them out. That's what this thread is all about! Also, I'm sorry about what you had to go through. Having that many people waiting at the bus stop is crazy!
  8. Besides, the agency needs to quit making MTA Bus a stepchild to New York City Transit in terms of amenities and services. They're BOTH part of MTA Regional Bus and thus BOTH need to be treated equally. I prefer for them to be merged, but that's not for a few more years anyway.
  9. Exactly! Those old bus stop signs need to be extinct! LOL!!! MTA Bus needs an upgrade in signage. Am I right?
  10. It's about time! I saw a Guide-A-Ride on the B103 Limited bus stop at 3rd Avenue and State Street on Sunday. I examined it and discovered the route map looked similar to the route map for MTA Bus Company express buses. Then, College Point Man, I glanced at the entire bus stop and thought, "This bus stop looks as if the B103 Limited, an MTA Bus route, was a New York City Transit route. It uses a bus stop post and has a Guide-A-Ride!" LMAO!!! Can't wait until NYCT and MTA Bus merge in a few years or so.
  11. LOL!!! Cool! Just like XxLiLGiJoE17xX, I enjoy the diversity anyway!
  12. And on top of that, MTA Bus Company local routes in Queens desperately need Guide-A-Rides to help the customers! LOL!!!
  13. So you mean it's better if three depots use all three types of buses?
  14. KEON'S RANDOM THOUGHTS MTA New York City Bus Edition The MTA could have assigned all the Nova Bus LFS buses (non-articulated) to one depot, all the New Flyer XD40 buses to another depot and all the Orion VII Third Generation buses to a third depot. Just saying. And that's my random thought.
  15. KEON'S RANDOM THOUGHTS MTA New York City Subway Edition I enjoy seeing R46 trains on both the and lines, as well as seeing R68 and R68A trains on the line. and R68 trains on the line. That's why, during the summer months, I look forward to heading to the 59th Street-Columbus Circle station to watch the R46, R68 and R68A trains on the , , and lines. And that's my random thought.
  16. Wow! Jackie Gleason has plenty of new C40LF buses. I'm beginning to see more of those buses every day now. As I said, those buses are coming in like clockwork.
  17. Those New Flyer C40LF buses are coming in like clockwork. Who knows? #400 may arrive in a few weeks!
  18. Yesterday, I saw Orion VII Next Generation bus #3993 on the B54 route without a side destination sign. Why is that? Does anyone know?
  19. That's what I said a little more than a month ago! The number of RTS buses is decreasing at a good rate. Soon, Fresh Pond could become the Brooklyn Division's first all-hybrid bus depot.
  20. I figured that... When I looked over it, I thought to myself that this wouldn't work after all. To be honest, creating a bus route is not very easy when the creator, namely me, don't consider factors, such as street traffic and other transit alternatives in the area. Anyway, thank you for the constructive criticism. When I plan another bus route next time around, I'll be sure to consider those all-important factors. B)
  21. Here's an express bus route I created: the X26. The route would operate rush hours only between Dyker Heights, Brooklyn at 7th Avenue and 92nd Street and Midtown Manhattan at 3rd Avenue and 57th Street. The route would travel to Midtown via 7th Avenue, 86th Street, 4th Avenue, Flatbush Avenue, Manhattan Bridge, Bowery and 3rd Avenue. The route would travel to Dyker Heights via Lexington Avenue, 23rd Street, 3rd Avenue, Bowery, Manhattan Bridge, Flatbush Avenue, 4th Avenue, 86th Street and 7th Avenue. The express section would be from Bowery and Canal Street in Chinatown, Manhattan to 4th Avenue and 86th Street in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. What do you guys think?
  22. #9596 at Flatbush Depot? Wow... That bus (along with a few others like it) has been at Fresh Pond Depot for years!!!
