  2. Congrats & gl w/ the process. Keep us posted...
  3. HI Brighton Local: I think its in the very low 600's for the March class. Are you on the list as well? if so what's your list # range?
  4. Congrats Gherigfan1 & thanks for sharing the update!
  5. It's not known for sure, just no scheduled date as of yet...
  6. Question for the vets: does MTA offer other training/development courses once passing schoolcar and probation? if so is it done on your dime and time?
  7. HI DaSmoothOperator - welcome to the board. What's your list # range within -/+ 10. Thanks for sharing...
  8. Subway88: thx for the info. GL in the process... i think they're back filling the 3/25 class mostly with previous O/C candidates who have cleared their "holds". bx girl got in with the 3/25 class with a list # btw 580-600 (congrats once again for sharing and getting in). plus kevinetics shared that there were some 600's in his feb class (thx for sharing). so they gotta be in the low 600's i would think... bottom line - idk whats going on?! i was hoping mta would have processed thru another 200 #'s by now. a big thanks for everyone sharing what they know - appreciate it!!!
  9. HI Subway88: hope all is well with the process. Did you get into the March Class? If so congrats...
  10. Congrats & Best wishes - BX Girl!!!
  11. Maybe they're processing all the previous medical holds, background/interview holds and reinstatement's so they could be up to date... just guessing
  12. Congrats to uptown for making the 3/25 class. if anyone else has too, pls share your list# range. Much thx in advance and congrats!
  13. Congrats on making the 3/25 class. When did you find out?
  14. Thx - kevinetics for sharing even better news!!!
  15. HI Trainman - thx for sharing this great update. It seems that DCAS, MTA and this board are in sync. Sometimes I've noticed this board is "unofficially" most current while MTA and DCAS lag behind. I have a feeling that the processing for the March class will be fast and furious since the MTA is also processing bus operators and conductors. I wouldn't be surprised if they reached out to mid 700's for the March class. Here's to crossing my fingers that this pace keep up!!!
  16. SubwayGuy: thanks for a most thorough response. I really appreciate your time.
  17. Thanks for your prompt response. Thanks for sharing your POV.
  18. HI Success7 - Congrats on almost completing school car. My main questions are: 1. It seems newbies get school/training twice; yards ops then customer svc ops - are these both Pass/Fail situations? Will future newbies be trained for both A & B division equipment? 2. Are the 1st - 3 months of yard ops counted towards the probation period; which is 1 year from hiring date? Please correct if misspoken. Thanks for sharing. I feel this could work for the benefit of most newbies to become familiar with the equipment, MTA culture etc... in a less stressful environment than being put straight into customer service operations, where the risks for potential mistakes, write-ups, and consequences are heightened. Well like you said, "it is what is"... Once again best wishes.
  19. HI Yarek - congrats on making it to the 2.25 class. If you feel comfortable can you narrow your list range within 10-20#'s. Best wishes on whatever you decide...
  20. WOW - that's pretty encouraging. It seems that for each class of 40 they are processing some 150 people and then relooping back to previous list #'s that were on some type of hold. I don't know about the 70% retirement eligible, but if its high enough, there could be a large exodus since many would want to protect their pensions (topic was briefly discussed a few days ago). If this holds true this list could reach as high as the 1300's. Please keep in mind that these comments are all just speculation.
  21. no worries... maybe an administrator will notice your immediate response and correct it. Great "unsolicited" advice!!! At least now you have 1 foot in the door... lol best of luck!
  22. Congrats! Share when you can. Best of luck!
  23. Vic70: 640-660 list # range came from poster subway88 who graciously updated the thread as per his experience. subway88 thanks for sharing and best of luck. I think the likelihood of people making stuff up is very low, but you never know since this is the internet. once again my list # range is low 900's. ?! ?! As I stated on this thread and on another related thread, please perform your due diligence and research. It's only my humble opinion, that your list number should be called soon. but then again I dont work for MTA HR nor have any special insight. Honestly, all I have to rely on is the information that is freely shared on the internet and take it at face value. Best wishes in the hiring process.
