Service Change Posted: 07/04/2015 6:06PM Due to FDNY activity at Lexington Av/59 St, the following service changes are in effect: trains are running on the line between 36 St (QNS) and Lexington Av/63 St in both directions. Southbound trains will run on their normal path from 57 St-7 Av. There is no train service between 57 St-7 Av and Queensboro Plaza in both directions. Shuttle train service will be provided between Astoria-Ditmars Blvd and Queensboro Plaza in both directions. , and trains are running with delays in both directions. Allow additional travel time. Usually the would get knocked off at 57th street and no service toward Astoria. They are providing a shuttle service. The 60th street tunnel is having so many issues. They need to have a serious repair during the fastrack period.

Service is back to normal.

I think that they should send out shuttle buses by now since it still ongoing. The Brooklyn buses might be already packed.

I thought that too because it is a waste of time with the making stops. Why they couldn't have shuttle running from Stillwell to 4th Ave-9th street. That way still have some connections with other lines. They should deploy shuttle buses by now since it is height of rush hour.

Some southbound trains are running on the line from Jay St-MetroTech to Euclid Av. As an alternative, customers are advised to take the B57 and B61 bus service. Allow additional travel time. It is a mess. Especially they are rerouting some of the southbound via the line. I assume to provide service at Jay St- Metrotech so riders can use the to Coney Island.

I got the feeling that the might go to Jamaica Center since it is late night and Jamaica Center can handle the amount of trains. Or just stop there. They do turn the at 179th at weekends when there is work being done @ Jamaica Center

I was on the E train around 12:30pm I got on 5th ave/ 53rd street and wanted to get off at Court Square for the . The train moved fine til we got stopped 2 times at the 53rd street tunnel. The train stopped for about 10 minutes 450 feet away from Court Square station! I was on 1st car and saw the exit sign "450 feet away exit". Had to wait for the to move ahead forward.

It tends to be like that. Anything that happens north of 57th street they tend to terminate the and at 57th street. They need to shutdown the Astoria portion for an entire weekend so they can focus fixing the signals and the switches.

Some 71 Av bound and trains terminate at Jamaica Center- Parsons/Archer or Jamaica-179 St. Allow additional travel time. I wonder is that a good thing or a bad thing? Extended to 179th street and/or Jamaica Center. I know the extends to 179th on few weekends. At least they are not cutting any services off.
