  1. Just a comment. I know it would happen 20%. If you believe R188 ( with Bombardier Propulsion ) will fail running on the 7 line.... Bombardier Propulsion i like. you said it right.. R188 should of carry Alstom propulsion.  R188 should become 5 cars sets. Why hate Bombardier Propulsion. R188 still is R142A

  2. Which R142 i hope it Bombardier next that 370 cars will be converted to R188 original plan few years ago..  new 103 cars of R188.. That 473 cars of new R188  . 370 conversion cars of R142 will become R188 , 103 new R188 cars... So that it. there 473 conversion of R142/R188 & 506 R142A/R188 cars.. That it.. I know just saying. 126 new cars so call R142A/R188 will run on the 7 line will fail. Try to something new  it fail later.. I probably sure 473 cars of R188 will run 9 cars set . That A+B+B+B+A ( 5 cars set) / A+B+B+A  ( 4 cars set) altogether you get 9 cars set running ..

  3. How many set remaining are left of R188 so called R142A yet to be delivered . So call R142A or R188 have been finally delivered. I am wondering that 50% chance saying. So call R188 or R142A how can they make 5 car unit set R188 or R142A that #7811 - #7956. That might happen later ... Thank goodness R188 #7811 - #7956 have been delivered. So quick...

  4. Didn't get the car numbers or a pic this time around :( , but another two 188s have been ninja'd away from outside Kawasaki. Where else are they going to besides 239 yard?

You got 207 street yard overhaul shop ... lol. Where R142 Bombardier delivered there then head to Unionport Yard / 239 street yard.

  5. What the heck going on... Jamaica yard had lost 70 cars of R160B #9123 -  #9192 they send it to Coney Island Yard. At least getting 40 cars of R179 ( 5 car unit ). It will make sense the car that they lost of R160B ,   & can get their cars back  R160B or R179 cars.  sorry for the confused..  ^_^

  6. To cover the 16 R46s that were flooded at 207th Street station during the Sandy. Even if those 40 R179s go to Jamaica, what will be the problem if Pitkin gets more trains? Remember the (A) now runs 36 trains at rush hour, formerly 38.

Nice at least Jamaica Yard can recover cars that they sent R160B

  7. Not sure why but 9360 is at stengel

not sure it's maintenance related or what-not...

Why 1997 RTS NOva Bus #9360 should get maintence .. If #9360 going to be retired.. I thought 600 bus were purchase from which company... That supposed to be replace 210 RTS Nova Bus model 1996 RTS & 1997 RTS NOva bus.

  8. LOL, depotofrelax liked your comment. He will be the very reason it will be locked.

I apologize.. Are you telling me & in this forum.. There are R62A haters in this forum. I know some don't like R62A. & you tell me i am not intresting in ol school car SMEE? come on.. Who said i do not like R62A .. Because I am R142/R142A riders....

  9. I believe it was.

    I believe it was.

Except drama. If the R188 is being delivered... There 10 cars set still R188 #7811 - #7815 , #7816 - #7820 at Unionport Yard home of 5 line. Delivery just started .. What can I say.. As i said before... If you think Corona Yard cannot R142A. this thread it look suggesting.

  10. You'd be surprised!

See, that's the thing, though... the MTA doesn't want to keep the 142s on the (6), so everyone who complains is only wasting their time.

The only real deficiencies of the R62s are those shared by the 142s... less capacity because of the narrow width of the cars.

That why 2nd Avenue subway line being built... That where R179 come in handy to the rescue to reduce Lexington Avenue Line service.. yeah right.

  11. So the   (6) and (7)  route will be mix with the new and old equipment? Cause it would be really sad if the 6 fleet will be all R62, that would be one major downgrade LOL.

No excitement going on. But i do not have faith R188 will run on  (7) ...  What so silly about ... What does have it deal third track.. When new cars .... When sometimes fail what next.?

  12. I would have (L) train stops at 2nd Ave. and Avenue B instead of at 1st and 3rd Aves. 3rd Avenue is a given as it's only a block away from Union Sq., and walking to Alphabet City is a bitch depending on how far in you have to go (good luck if you're going to Ave. D...). Also, when (if) the SAS reaches down there in Phase 3 anyway it would make the 14th St. transfer to the (L) that much easier. Similarly, I would add 2nd Ave. stations to the (F), (N)(Q)(R), (E)(M) and (7) lines. No one's going to want to walk 2 avenues down to the Lexington Ave. stations when the SAS opens, and 2nd Ave. is populated enough to warrant stations too. I doubt those are possible under existing conditions though.

As has been mentioned earlier in this thread I would have stations at 5th Ave. - 63rd St. (F), Union Ave. (J)(M)(Z) (closing Hewes and Lorimer) and 103rd St. (2)(3).

Is a station at Allerton Ave. (5) necessary? It's really close to Gun Hill Rd. as it is. I also don't think it's necessary to add any more 28th St. stations since you're never more than 5 blocks away from a station between 23rd and 34th streets. You don't want too many stops as that just makes commuting slower.

who forgot NIMBY .. will they ever approve to built Allerton Avenue Station...

  13. my new stations

    (L) Avenue C and 2 Av

    (C)(E) 7 Av South

    (cool.png(Q) Tillary Street

    (cool.png(Q) Neptune Av

    (F) Atlantic Av

    (5) Allerton Av

    (5) Bronxdale Av-White Plains Rd

it would also be cool if someway it was possible to add stops along the Williamsburg and Manhattan Bridges

bad idea for  (5) to built Bronxdale Ave - White Plains Road ... Example are there closer to UnionPort Yard. As  (2) Bronx Park East station are closer to Unionport Yard when there is Track connection to Unionport Yard / East 180 Street yard

  14. The R62s and R68s also have the benefit of being made in a time where the (MTA) started to take maintenance and "testing out things before you buy it" more seriously.

And to the issues of the R42s, current (MTA) literature has them as being replaced by the R179s, regardless of the current deplorable conditions of the cars or any unconfirmed information we've herd.

When R179 come into service be delivered in 2015. 2 years from now. This is year 2013. Whcih Yard receive R179.. If East New York Yard then can retire R42 at least 2 month when delivered in January 2015. By the month of March 2015.. All remaining 50 R42 cars at East New Yard be retire in March 2015. It easy to retire 50 R42 cars in 2 months. rather than 222 cars R32 it will take 5 months to retire....

  15. There will still be 142As on the (6), but the (7) will be 100% NTT.

A guess .. A compliment .... I will bet that Corona yard cannot handle 506 R188 cars. If Westchester Yard can handle 460 R142A.... Some store at 239 street yard where else & 207 Street yard.  Why cant the 7 line... Corona Yard not closer to 239 Street yard... Corona Yard are at Queens .. Saying.
