Would I be pushing it if I call employment to check on my status?

This is scaring me. I'm in the top 100 and only have 2 moving violations and no convictions and I haven't received a call to come back in yet. It especially worries me if they call in list number order.

So just to clarify, will the people who was called down for the drug test get the call back to come down for full medical and swearing in on 10/22? Or is 10/22 the day the new school car class starts?

From what it seems from this forum, they have invited about between list #'s 1- 200 to go down to 180 Livingston for pre employment. Not 100% on that, just from what I can tell from a couple of forums.

I have a sealed conviction from when I was 17 and I did not put it down on my pre employment packet that I handed in nor did I put it down on the 21 page booklet. But it clearly states that you DO NOT have to list sealed or dismissed convictions so I didn't. I'm still worried they might say something if it pops up. I'll just use their own for as proof where it clearly states in Capitol letters that I DO NOT have to list sealed convictions. Will I still be DQ'ed?

When are they gonna call.... I'm having a damn impatient anxiety attack over here. I know my whiz results should be back already since I took it on the 28th. I know patience is a virtue but being so close to my dream career is eating me up. I saw in an earlier post that there should be a class going into school car October 22nd. Would anybody with experience know if they would wait til a day or two before the class starts or would they give us enough time to give our current jobs 2 week notice?

Does anyone have an idea how long it will take them to call us back in after we do our pre-employment/drug screening? Or do they usually just build up a bank of eligible people and have us wait til they are ready?

Would anybody that's been through the process be able to tell me if they will let us know if we're gonna be hired the day of the pre-interview/medical or will they tell us to come back at a later date? Also will they give us that date to come back when were done with the medical or will they tell us to wait on another letter in the mail?

It states in the application in bold letters that you DO NOT have to disclose sealed, expunged or yourhful offender convictions on the application.

Quick question, will an extensive work history get me dq'd? For example earlier on in my 10 year history that the application is asking for I jumped from job to job a lot and had small periods of unemployment. The moving around became better overtime but the longest job I've held was for 2 years total along with my current job which is 1 1/2 years so far. Will that look bad and DQ me since that will be added on to a summons i will have to list for an open container from years ago? I have my pre interview/medical on Monday.

The ball is rolling guys. I'm in the top 100 list numbers and I got my letter to report for my medical today in the mail. Patience is a virtue.

Justin08: Yes MTA did take over the testing as of this year but everything that was administered while under DCAS will still be handled by DCAS until there isn't anything left.

I spoke to someone from DCAS this morning. I was told that the established date of 9/13 was a mistake so they have it terminating on 9/16 and will re-establish the test on 9/19 definitely. When you call next Sunday the the 23rd, it should say that the list was established on 9/19 and will expire in 4 years from that date. It was basically a computer glitch and MTA didn't want to establish the list until 9/19 so they had to take it down. This is what was told to me from certifications division of Dcas. Don't worry, once it is fully establishe on 9/19, the ball will start rolling. Til then I'm gonna go ahead with this NYC corrections officer process as back up. I have a great list number on 8098 but you must always have a plan B. Just call Dcas again on Sunday 9/23 and check to see if it was updated.
