hi there... so...for all those who start on sept 30th class.... i think 1st payday on oct is the 10th..correct?....if that is true and they keep 1week in...are there going to be ANY paychecks on the 10th ( if they take out fingerprinting/taxes/dues...etc...might owe $$ to MTA !!!! LOL ) or they will push it ALL into next paycheck?

Just completed my medical and final processing today. Woot!! Loads of candidates there for the DT. My list number is 141X and was placed in the Sept. 30TH class. Good luck to all who are waiting!

Hi All This situation really sucks for that person... I have a question....everyone is talking about the "YARD"....what exactly the yard work consist of? What do u have to do while working the yard?

I'm list # 141X. Went for D/T in early July and still waiting for Medical/final processing call. Hope that sheds some light.

do you mind telling me when did you take your D/T and how long after that they called you for physical? did you make the july class? for me its been around 4 weeks since DT

What do u do while waiting??? can u play a game? read magazines? play cards--lol .... nap??? i mean it is a LONG time to just sit and roll your fingers....will someone else be there with you??? are ALL new T/O extra/extra or just some? how long this lasts? after how long do you get a "regular" job? does that mean you just work the SAME line, SAME shift, SAME RDO's all the time? It sounds like no one is able to drive to work...must take public transportation since you report at one location but might ending up finishing a job at opposite end of town....is this right???

well...as far as I know and I remember being told by someone when I once called for some info.... some people get "cleared" faster than others...simply because their employment history is shorter ( much faster to confirm/check ) ; some people with longer history should take into consideration that some of their previous employers are not around anylonger/business is closed and so much harder to verify....; for some other people they call previous employers and no one answers and they leave a message but no one calls back and so on. Drug text is valid 90 days...so if you are approaching 75-80 days......BETTER CALL AND ASK WHAT THE HOLD UP IS>>>>they will tell you You could also call now and say your friend with a higher # than yours was called in but you were not and would like to know why. From May 8-9 DT...i would wait till mid June and then call and ask....good luck

huhhhh? do you mean if you start school car in the summer 2013 you want 5 days off in Oct.2013???? Well if that's the case, that's a NO-NO.... I am not 100% sure, but I remember reading something to the extent of you need to work 1 full year before you can take vacation Soem one correct me if I'm wrong

Are you sure you are on this list??? 8098 for train OPERATOR and not CONDUCTOR??? T/O starting salary ( beginning 1st day of employment ) is in the $30 range ( $30.0375 to be exact - see also "SCHOOL CAR EXPERIENCE" thread page 5 for this info ) ...however, T/C hourly rate is in the $20's range Also...seems wired to have reached a list # in the 1220 range so fast...since only last week 1000 was not reached yet...maybe that's why poughkipseedid not get his/her letter yet !!!!!! Just saying.... Any one else with list # over 1000 got letters....???

any one with list # 1000 or over yet being called for DT???
