A little over 5 years too late on that one.

The 41SBS is on the table. However, there are some underlying issues that need addressing including construction on Flatbush, and dollar van enforcement. These commuter vans are going to find another way to avoid Flatbush at all costs if they want to survive.

The Vans is more of a DOT issue.. and TLC should be out there heavier to enforce things... they should really be looking into 60ft conversion on the 41 before they think about doing the 46

I explained this in my last post. There is no order changing going on. The loaned buses will start going back as new ones come in. No one is keeping anything. They all belong to TA/OA. When they get ready to go back they will go to Manhattan and or anywhere else they may be needed. They could end up in Brooklyn.

It’s already been said that some, of not all of them couple be unwrapped as some are for 100 St anyway.

Please ladies an gentlemen, don’t skim through the comments. Read them all and let’s not get too far off topic or into speculation. Let’s stick as much to the facts or what we know them to be at the time of posting, and base our comments off that. Anything else should be reserved for the random thoughts thread.

My apologies I just actually went back and saw what you said... ENY is ready for Artics ? From what I’m understanding whats loaned out was for ENY and 100st...  or am I wrong ?

Also remember there is a possibility that the (MTA) loaned buses could slowly make their way back to Manhattan- TU/100th. I don’t know too much with the effect of having the 1200’s at TU/100th. So far TU/100th has taken in some Flatbush LFSA’s and there’s a possibility that they can take in more along with a Bronx Division depot (West Farms or Kingsbridge).

That’s possible... but I get the feeling with all the order changing going on... they might let LGA keep those and take back the small bunch at JFK... and when MTAB order comes in just send that to 100st

  4. IMO I think they dropped the ball when making the B44 the first Bklyn SBS...

it should’ve been either the B41 or B6 easily... don’t get me wrong the B44 is a good choice too but an SBS downtown Brooklyn to Kings Plaza is a no brainer if you ask me... and the B6 is just a beast busiest route hands down in Brooklyn

Why is the MTA sending XD60’s to Casey Stengel instead of just unwrapping them and then send them to Tuskegee Airmen where they eventually gonna go ijs 🤷🏽‍♂️

Mileage purposes it makes sense... and being that it’s looks as if all outer Boroughs outside of the Bronx will be strictly XD60s moving forward as far as Artics are concerned

Tuskegee could end up with the 1200s from MCH when MCH’s XD60s come in... keep that in mind those 1200s will be coming off M15SBS and into Local Pool

I have a headache...... There’s too much going on. MTA is not happy with Nova’s new delivery schedule, and now we have issues there. Apparently something happened with the audit inspection, but I have been so busy trying to keep up with everything from railroads to subways that I’m a bit overwhelmed.

Idk what happened.... this literally just got me out of left field, but MTA wants changes made and don’t like the new delivery timeline.

Note: Scratch the LFS delivery schedule. I’m awaiting updates now. Stand by.

It’s better they caught the issue in production than in the streets... Nova will probably issue extra buses for this tho

Yes, but I doubt the MTA would split the R unless R train riders in Queens, Manhattan and Brooklyn request the R to be split. The article mentions the J extension as an alternative to that idea as well as additional R train services.

The MTA needs to find a way of managing the surplus of 8 car trains. If the G doesn't go full length, the other options would be the C until the r211's, the J extension or some secret way of making some 8 car r179's into 10 car trains.

The M was cut from South Brooklyn because of no real demand for it....

sending the J down to South Brooklyn brings back the same issue and then where is it terminating at ?

    Bay Ridge ?

    Bay Parkway ?

    where

  9. I was talking with an MTA insider last night and they told me something that was quite interesting

I was told that 10car 160s were being tested on Concourse this past weekend... and that the D might be in play for NTT when the L shutdown happens... any light on this perhaps
