I can't say I agree completely...in fact, I'm quite glad QV is getting their 2011 LFS back. I actually like the 2011 LFS more than their 2015/16 counterparts, for reasons including the seating arrangement and the rear window. Also, any post-2011 bus is an upgrade over the 1997-98 RTS, so perhaps it wouldn't be so good to say that QV is getting 'lame, old ass LFs'. Yes, JA may seem to be getting all the new buses, but in my opinion, QV getting 2011 LFS is so much better than getting Orion NGs. Just my 0.02.
I get it now...
8094-8119 to Jamaica
8120-8123 to join its counterparts in Staten Island
The rest of the 8000s to QV...

QV is setting themselves up for a major overhaul real soon........but QV is getting stuck with 89 of those lame, old ass Lfs'. While Jamaica gets a whole bunch of new buses fresh off the factory line. Hardly seems fair to me.
In my opinion, what should have happened was that Jam should have kept their 45 from 2011 and gave the 8090-8120 to Queens Village. Or, give some of those earlier 2011 buses to ENY. But, alas, once again, QV gets the shaft. Just like GA in Bklyn.
Speaking of, 4543 back at Grand.
6400s gotta go soon
2011 LFS 8070-8089 is 20 buses
2015/16 LFS8090-8093 8399-8480 is 85 buses
Your math is WAY off that's 105 LFS's
QV has 2011 LFS 8000-8016/ 8018-8069 which is 69 buses
2015/16 8481-8503 which is 23... Altogether that's 92
As far as 8094-8123 those are accounted for and when ENY has enough RTS's to where they can send off Jamaica's buses they will
I wouldn't be surprised if those 5100s in Eastchester end up in East NY

Originally UP was supposed to get the 2400's from YUK, but now they've been going to MER (a part time depot who already has brand-new Prevosts). That's a slap in the face to UP!
It's a slap for now but someway somehow UP will eventually end up with something newer down the line...

How about a Jamaica Light Rail... Could go down Merrick to Hook Creek

7613 is on the 2 overnight G.O. right now as we speak

The recall is not the problem. WF has the smallest amount of C40LFs, so that doesn't make sense.
They're having problems with the CNG refueling stations. Which is the root to all of this.
JG ? Or WF ?

Whoever reported that Baisley Park has started to receive XD60s
That's totally false I just went thru there myself and seen
None on the bay's... Or side lots or front apron
There are NO XDs on property yet...

QV will have no RTS' in a few weeks. They never received 4180 and another NG in that 4171-4198 group
QV isn't the ONLY depot in eastern Queens my friend
Jamaica will still have 99 Novas... So as long as they have them... You'll still see RTS's in Eastern Queens smh

If i'm not mistaken that is a DOT issue not the fault of the MTA,they just provide the service. DOT handles the stop placements and such.
No However BJC was just concern about the stop placements along the route; BJC didn't mention any service changes to the Q114...
The stop placements are fine... Its LIMITED in JAMAICA
It's meant to fly thru Jamaica.... Now MY issue with the BOTH Limiteds are that they run back to back
Which makes NO sense in my eyes
The headway for both buses are 10mins... Give or take each leaving a min or 2 early or later than the other.... That right there messes things up...
That needs to be spaced out... If a 114 leaves at 1:00... That 113 shouldn't leave until 1:06...
The elimination of the short trip 137/140th Q111 just added on runs to the Farmers Trip
That's NOT going anywhere
It's actually more frequent now that they added those runs...
It's the Rosedale Q111 that's seeing the lack
I think that the Q113/114 are unreliable during the midday heading towards Jamaica. The traffic in Five Towns being the main culprit....
Each of the limited stops along Brewer gets good usage, so I don't which one would be eliminated. There are two instances where the limited stops that are close together.....
1. Linden/115 and Foch Blvd.
Each stop stop serves its purpose
Linden/115 most drivers changes happen THERE thus being in front of the depot
2. Farmers and 147th.
Farmers should be self explanatory but if it isn't
Here's the reason "Q3 JFK Airport"
147th is for those that live in the shelters and work over back towards Rockaway and the Post Office /DMV area

Looks like 8045-8048, 8050-8055,8057-8058,8060-8065 are all at QV. The days of the RTS in Eastern Queens are numbered
Don't be so quick to say that...
97-98 RTS days are numbered... But 1999 Novas will still run on Jamaica Streets alil while longer as long as Jamaica has them

The Q114 LTD makes the same stops as the Q113, so I assume you mean the Q113 also has too many stops (just not as many as the Q114).
The only stops that you can realistically eliminate would be 109th Avenue and Foch Blvd. Linden is a major street, Baisley & 137th are at both ends of Rochdale Village, and south of there, you'd be bypassing a lot of the people further out, whose very purpose the Q114 LTD exists for. (The main point of the limited is obviously to bring riders further out to the hub quickly, and spacing out the stops and forcing them to catch a local on the outer end does the exact opposite)
My first question would be do any of y'all ride the Q114 Frequently ?
As a South Jamaica Queens resident I happen to ride these Guy R Brewer Routes everyday and Q114 NEEDS to stay.... It's helped ALOT on the Blvd...
The Q114 serves its purpose
It's the for those that live in the backblocks of Inwood Cederhurst and Lawrence... The Q113 bypasses all of that by taking Nassau Expwy but you still have that demand for those people who aren't actually going to Mott...
I wouldn't change anything with the Q114...
What they can do is turn the short trip Q111 to Farmers into its own route as well... Q115 to Farmers Blvd... Wouldn't run 24/7 more like 15/7 but it would help greatly and would also help separating lines... Giving that Farmers line it's own identity

I don't know if this was reported or nah but I saw 8472 last night on the Q4 at Parsons Archer
This is 1 something in the morning while waiting for the Q111

Personally I'm tired of saying the same things over and over again, and that post was directed at someone specifically since they think they know everything.... Sounds like you took something personal that has nothing to do with you. People at times act like they can't read or just want to challenge whatever I say because they have nothing else better to do.
My whole point in the matter is not about making anyone feel any type of way, but I'm quite annoyed with people coming at me questioning my information. So in defense of what you said, whenever someone comes at me "sideways" I'm going to respond however I feel fit. If information is wrong, it will be corrected. We have a standard here when it comes to accurate information.
There is a difference in one sharing what they know versus sharing what they think they know. This may be a public forum, but it is privately operated. This information is also a privilege. Some seem to think they have a right to this information, or they are entitled to it.
Now again, that post was directly specifically to someone who always wants to challenge me, and I will come at him sideways anytime he does it to me. Respect is earned, I expect the same. Period.
Carry on.
I've had a moment or 2 to read this over and if I did take you out of context then I can apologize
After reading your standpoint and understanding that its towards another member on here...
I'm not really one for the back and forth stuff
So with that said I've sent you message
We'll talk there
Now we can carry on

All I can say about this conversation is wow! ENY Command decides what goes where. Period. TA does NOT want hybrids at EC unless it's absolutely needed. Not because the don't want them or don't like them. TA/ENY does not want them there because the Q50 and Bx23 routes hit high speeds. This is the whole reason they were evaluating a retrofit of every last BusCo OG to diesel configuration. They will NOT be efficient on the route. Not only will the fuel efficiency be decreased, but they need more preventive maintenance as well as bus conditioners.
In addition to the many things I do, I am a mechanic and I said years ago it's not a good idea to have hybrids on many routes especially in Queens. The batteries have to be conditioned more than they need to, and this is a known maintenance fact now. TA is not opposed to any buses OTHER than hybrids going there. However there are no buses available now other than RTS as TA decided to put all the Xcelsiors at LG.
So again, if EC were to ever get hybrids there would need to be massive maintenance training, and batter conditioners. That's a headache when they can just use RTS until 2018 or they decided to come off some Xcelsiors, or when the next MTA bus order arrives. DOB is ENY and this is there decision. I just state what comes across my desk. They decided to have EC an RTS depot even though they want the 5100's back TA side immediately as soon as they come to a resolution. Period. In the meanwhile, the GM's at each Depot either have major influence or lack there of. It comes down to top management at ENY Command. Since both ENY and Ulmer GM's rejected hybrids when they were first delivered, this clearly sets a precedent..
So at the end of the day, sometimes there is a compromise. This is all favored in when fleet assignments are made. I continues to see a few people sleek on topics whic they have limited or no information.
FYI MTA surveys all drivers, mechanics, and supervisors on which buses they prefer and why. This is then evaluated, and assignments and transfers are finalized at ENY. However again as I said there is major influence and depots like Michael J Quill, Ulmer Park and East New York tend to get what they want or come to a compromise. It's much more to it than many realize.
Thanks for YOUR 2cents
As sideways as it might have come across I see the point of the post
But just to defend those who wouldn't have access to the information you have or someway somehow the information gets mixed up while being passed on
Plz DO REMEMBER this is s FORUM where we share what we know... Right or Wrong it's worth being shared
I would appreciate however that if someone is wrong instead of trying to make them feel some type of way by talking down slick talk or just that sideways stuff... KILL all of that noise and just KEEP IT INFORMATION
If someone is wrong let them know but do it respectfully‼️
I'm watching these posts and if I feel as if someone is coming off sideways I'm pressing the issue from here on out
I have an inbox and my phone works fine....

It would make sense for JA to send over its 4900s to ENY for the LFSs
ENY in turn gives up the 4900s and some 5000s to UP for UPs 4800s

The MTA Bus hybrids and everything above 6690 were delivered at the same time. They are the same model years...
Gen I: 2001-2003 (CNG), 2004 (hybrid)
-7560-7684
-6365-6489
Gen II: 2004-2005 (CNG), 2005 (hybrid)
-7685-7819
-6490-6689
Gen II+: 2006-2007
-3500-3783
-6690-6905
I pulled up the Orion production list, and it shows 3500 being made directly after 6714. In fact 3500-3524, along with a few buses for TTC, Des Moines Regional Transit, and some company called CyRide were built between NYCT 6714 and 6715.
Thanks for clearing it up... The MTAB model then is crappy

-All of MTA Bus Orion VIIs are Gen II+...same as the 67-6900s.
-The CNGs are being killed off by a separate order that has nothing to do with the hybrids. Those will actually come in first.
No they aren't... 3500s are older... they were on property before they changed the rear seating configuration... The 3600s started the seat change on the MTAB side... On NYCT side we didn't see the change until the 6600s showed up
So anything pre 6600 is DONE
The entire 7500-7600 CNG versions are done
The entire 3500 series is DONE

They weren't properly tested outside of Manhattanwhy do so many depots dislike hybrid's?
When they first got them they were too fast so they slowed them down messing with the computers on them... Hence now why some of them drag and then the battery replacement is also an issue... Basically it's not a good designed bus...

Not surprised that VG8 downvoted this post lol... But if ECH is keeping 6081 and 6333 for the time being then I really gotta see those
The Orion VII 1st Gens will probably go after the next NFI / Nova option order. Also Jamaica's just thrilled that they're getting all those new LFS' that they're giving their old ones to Queens Village lol
All the Gen 1 07s are gone with the next order
MTAB (3500s and some 3600s) NYCT (6300s - 6500s)(7500s-7600s) CNG version
QV could've taken the NGs in Jamaica.. But I do hope they leave soon to CS.... Once ENY kicks out our LFS
It probably sounds as if I'm bias to Hybrids but they just don't work in the outta boroughs... Also this is off topic a friend of mine as I were talking and he said that outside of SI the over the road coach isn't needed... That they could've order suburban 60 footers... What do y'all think about that ?

So, Jamaica, ENY, UP and Eastchester want nothing from Orion? I find it odd for Eastchester though
It's the Brass... ENY in Bklyn
In Queens it's QV
Eastchester has some pull on the MTAB side
Those RTS 51xx's they have TA wants them back
Flatbush and East New York really want them
Flatbush more so then the East
From my understanding Flatbush doesn't want NGs either
Basically NOBODY outside of Manhattan
besides Grand Av and Freah Pond wants Orion's anymore OG or NG

#8381 is at Kingsbridge
#8172, #8179 and #8183 are at Charleston
#8300, #8302, #8304, #8306 and #8313 are at Yukon.
I'd say this order SHOULD be wrapping up at the end of April if not before.
First of all...calm yourself. This ain't that serious. Especially since what you're asking has been discussed on THIS thread before.
Second, you're getting up to Nova LFS #8480. PLUS you're getting ENY's Novas #8094-8119 (#8120-8123 supposedly is going to Charleston). The "oddball" NGs are supposedly heading to Casey Stengel. Now everything that I mentioned COULD change BUT that's the plan.
First and foremost there's ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to come at me sideways with your response when in fact I'm just simply asking questions....
So you need to serious check YOURSELF on how you talk to people
Now back to MAIN topic at hand which is these bus moves
Yes everything you stated is true
I know the order I know the breakdown of it
However the monkey wrench into this whole situation
especially from ENY from what I've heard
They want either more 99 Novas or the 4800s from UP...
ENY wants to get rid of those OGs they have...
Nobody wants them
There's NO 99 Novas to be spared at the moment
Basically it's a bus for bus situation
I could go in on this in detail but it's just too much to type

So they are taking 8045-8089 back ?QV Is getting the LFSs back so they can send some of their 1997/1998 Nova RTSs to MTA Bus and scrap.
Why didn't they just take the oddball NGs we got
???????????? nobody seems to want Orion's anymore.
NG or OG..
QV should've kept those Novas for a lil while longer in my opinion
If your gonna scrap something scrap those 64xx's
This throws a monkey wrench into everything on the Queens side of things
So losing these LFS... What are we getting back ?
Newer LFS later on down the line ?
More 99 Novas ?
And why are we still stuck with those oddball NGs ?
Someone please clear this up for me

Interesting indeed... This move I didn't see comingInteresting
QV is taking back LFS from us
Hmmm... Why tho ?
