Its happened during a TOMC trip in recent memory. A passenger called the police on railfanners. What happened was that the police officers reiterated the rules of conduct making it clear that those railfanners were not doing anything illegal. When that passenger went out of control, it turned out the POs arrested her for harassment and disorderly conduct instead, defending the rights of the railfanners as she started to threaten them for no reason. (Maybe that passenger had a warrant for her arrest? Unsure). Now thats a smart veteran cop.

One R32 and one R68 (or R68A) will come from 207 Yard for PM line service only. The R32 will either be made up at 207 Yard or will be an AM line lay up from 168 with 2 cars added. The requires one less train for the PM rush than the AM rush. The R68 will be a post AM rush lay up off the stored at 207 Yard. Like the , the requires one less train for the PM rush compared to the AM rush. At night, the R68 will return to Concourse for the the next morning.

What was the Pre NTT Westchester Yard R62a assignments? 1651 to 18xx? I know they also had R36's at the time as well.

 

What was the reason for them to change the yard stickers when the R62a went over to Corona anyways? I know they got Cars from Westchester, Livona and a few from 240th was it more for consistency

There has never been an R68 on the , Pitkin does not service them and unless it's for track testing, the only time you will probably see a R68 on the 8th Avenue line is if a is re-routed. But nevertheless, there is always a chance...

So this may be embarrassing to the transit hobbyists, but, I've finally rode a via Lexington. I guess, as well, saw a 62 but then again I've seen them before the 142 as well.

Had an R62A on the yesterday with a howling motor.. Right when I stopped recording at 14 street it started to get so much louder... Should have recorded once more stop lol.

They can put em on the Rockaway shuttle after memorial day (that's when the shuttle is full length expect late nights)

I think ENY should give all of their R160's to 207th.

I saw a message board on sub chat saying "A very lost train" the pic was showing A to Far Rockaway at Roosevelt Ave on QBL. Anyone heard about this incident? or it was a prank because it never show the front bullet.

What happened yesterday on the R32 train was a COMPLETE embarrassment to the transit community and is the reason why we are looked down at and are targets. Thank God when I was there, nothing really happened

I actually asked a T/O and a C/R on the R today about the R32s, both of em told me that the vibration testing for this weekend was canceled. Sucks, I know, but better to know now than to be disappointed tomorrow.
