Ehhhh........does MTA want to come back tho? Nassau already tossed them out and they keep wanting other ppl to fund their own bus system so unless Nassau's ideals change, we prob won't see MTA coming back.

I don't think u read The Who post.i said that Nassau should SELL the BUS SYSTEM to the MTA.with Nassau not having nothing to do it not funding no say in it.do me a favor read this post carefully and the one I already posted.

I seen some comments on fb from nice wishing that Nassau would fund so they can move forward with there bus operations and not be stuck trying to cut and save every year.Correct me if Iam wrong but is nice not going into Suffolk starting next month.i would like to see but it will never happen Nassau and Suffolk merge there bus ops so people could more options.if Nassau really wants save money just sell the bus system and the county owned land to the mta have them run it.

OG CNG's are simply better buses than the NG's

in some ways yes when there not constantly breaking down.But they have good legroom.

Do u think the xn40's have more legroom than the Orion 7 1800's.the reason why i ask is that I wasn't on 1912 for a long time just for 5 minutes.Every time I happend to ride nice bus Iam cursed with a Orion 7 CNG whether it be a 1700 bus or 1800 series.

You're perfectly right to be suspicious. For example, I remember reading about not only NICE saying they saved so much on a new fuel contract that they attributed the ability to do so many things with. But, they also stated the first year they were in service that they made close to half a million dollars on auctioning off used buses when the first batch only sold for up to a couple thousand dollars a bus, no where close to that number when you add them up. Of course, when the announcement was made, there wasn't much proof anymore since Auctions International hides their sold listings after a month or two.

Lets not forget the n20 is the longest NICE route. ..the n22 is not that long to begin with since it goes straight down hillside avenue exceptions would be the mineola detour and RF Mall loop. ..also Flushing is more distant from the county line than Jamaica is to the line. A nominal n20 would take a 1/2 hour to finally reach Nassau county while the n6, n22, n24 makes it in 20 minutes ...even if the hypothetical n35 is to be extended to Oyster Bay it would still be second place behind the n20 bus (if the today's n20G-H refuse once again)

What would u rate the n25 as I always wondered how long it's gets from lynbrook to greatneck.

Isn't there a Orion parts Maintence building in nj I know orion isn't around anymore.who knows we're those buses were going thanks mta Orion bus for letting everyone know about 1636 and the rest of the buses as I usually frequent auctions international.I haven't checked it in sometime.

So I see the n2/8 coming back (meaning Solages could have had something to do with this sudden finding of money), but Rockville Centre is mentioned there, so it could mean the n14 as well though that would be a severe waste of money for NICE.

 

I don't think it's the n14 it's probably the n17 that's coming back.Why would they put Baldwin and Freeport on there.

i am sure pinepower will have a boner after hearing mangano putting 3 million into restoring some routes.

To me the xn40 looks like a newer Orion bus model not talking about the color scheme.

I too saw 1007 1004 and 1019 and newflyer 1902.

As you see you provided me the location and hound wrote what the problem is with a defective nice bus that's not even 2 month old.All I can say this farehike better happen.
