Ah so THAT explains why my make a cross-platform connection with an tonight at 34 St.....

Really? Bypassing 2 or 3 stations really affected the trip that much?

after the R9 got to 168 St, it went into 207 yard. There was no second trip. It'll probably be returned to the museum over the weekend.

Because the 143's already got their upgrades last year.

I wish we could keep the escape masks on our phone too.....

Yeah you can get everything in PDF from TENS, but that doesn't matter since you still won't be allowed to use them as reference while on duty, so if you don't have the physical book with you, you have an incomplete set of equipment.

It's funny no matter how many times I tell you what's going on, everybody's still going to keep speculating......last year everyone kept making up excuses for why they wanted to see the run to New Lots when the ferry flooded, and I was the only one telling them that this was NOT going to happen, and now it's the same thing with this swap thread. Normally those stupid lock icons annoy me, but I'm getting ready to request one for this thread. No swap, end of discussion.

Yes, it would be a problem, because then the T/D's would have to make sure that no sets are sent to Metropolitan when it's time to start cutting trains. Why even make it an issue?
Boy, some of you will think ANYTHING just to find a reason to see the R-32 on the . IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, COME BACK TO REALITY!!!!!

You're all forgetting the biggest reason - R32's are terrible at OPTO service. To the point of impossible.

How could they, they had a GO on the line? The did run 5 soccer specials though.

Yes. They had me and my T/O deadhead to Stillwell on the next interval, and then when we got there the dispatcher's office was FULL of crews, which meant everyone was still out of place, so they had my T/O take a lite train back to Concourse Yard (we were sent via 8th Ave north of Blaf), and I was the ONLY passenger on board.
Yes, N/B (D)'s can be sent via 8th Ave, but S/B (D)'s can not. For some reason, there is no switch south of W4 which allows trains to go from B2 to B4, so 59 St is actually an ultimate point of no return for West End bound (D)'s! When you see a GO with D's running in two sections, this is why.

Queens Division, and still just the .

Hmm well that explains why my 2nd trip got ABDed tonight....but I can tell you one thing - if they're sending a via the from 59 St to W4, it's going to be running via a different line the ENTIRE rest of the way.

Who said anything about SMS? This is a CBTC upgrade.

The ENY R160's are getting CBTC upgrades, so they are going to be short a couple of sets. A couple of 32's are getting sent to ENY to cover those shortages. They'll probably be running at all hours.
And before any of you start up on speculation, NO these R32's are NOT going to be running on the or .

Be advised, the R32's will be making a move soon. But it won't be to the , it'll be to the ! Furthermore, the R46's are staying put on the this summer and the remaining R32's on the , and that's the end of that.

I do, but I don't want to disappoint everyone again if we miss another deadline, so just wait and see.

There's no service at Nereid Avenue.
So the southern terminal is Marcy Street? I'd imagine it is, since they probably won't vary it like the and scenario you mentioned. I'd also imagine shuttle buses are running between Broad and Essex.
No......the terminal would have been Essex. And where would these shuttle buses come from??? We don't have a million shuttle buses sitting around ready to go into service instantly for a sick customer delay.

When it's getting to the point that some C/R's are actually unlocking the b-cab just to turn off the circuit breakers to disable the A/C, you know they're working.....

No, they just put the wrong bullet on that sign. It should have been on it.

I wonder if I had any of you these past two weeks. Student T/O's who posted the kept on getting assigned to my job (the 1.5 tripper)

Why is this Lex Express shutdown even being called Fasttrack??? No stations are getting closed, and aside from the ending early, there aren't going to be any reroutes. They close down one or both of the Lex express tracks all the time.

May 13, 2013 WAS the target date in October 2012. And as you should all be well aware, there were a number of unforeseen circumstances which happened to our subway system between October and May......

The official word I keep hearing is that the swap is NOT happening this year. Everybody who thinks it is is just thinking that because that's what they "always" do......

Unplanned Subway Service Changes
in New York City Subway

Yeah that sounds about right. Most of the 's were actually getting turned back at Atlantic or Prospect Park, and every time I went up or down 4th Ave, there was an or holding at EVERY station I passed.
