  1. Exactly. That's why I'm proposing this B51 in the first place. Linden is underserved by public transportation. The other streets B35 (the user) mentioned already have transportation nearby. Linden doesn't even have any bus service west to Ashford Street (not including that short one way run of the B8 between Rockaway Avenue and Church Avenue, but that's only to turn around towards Bay Ridge).
  2. Why should the Q67 merge with B13? They don't even serve the same boroughs. It only really makes sense to combine routes if a bus route ends where another bus route starts. Like with the Q45 and 47, that merger made sense because both lines terminated at the Moore Terminal in Jackson Heights and they were almost like continuations of each other. But the B13 and Q67 don't even meet and a merger would cause disruptions along both routes. So they should just be left alone. Anyways, what do you think about my recent B51 idea?
  3. Thanks for correcting me about that. I know express multiborough buses make important stops. Anyways what do you think about my B51. Do you agree with it or disagree with it. I want reviews from as many people as possible.
  4. This is not an express route nor does the BM6 exen exist. Anyways please tell me if it's a good or bad idea. And Express bus routes aren't made to serve certain streets (aka Linden Boulevard), they are made to carry passengers quickly between two boroughs and don't usually make local stops.
  5. I also have another idea about a new bus route (well technically it's a restoration but it has a HUGE extension). It's the B51 (well my version of it). It is a long route, running between City Hall-Park Row and Spring Creek-Postal Facility. This B51 would run along the former B51 route between Downtown Brooklyn and City Hall plus via Linden Boulevard. If you want to see the entire route, click on the link below: https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&msa=0&msid=212548485828702065310.0004e03ff8c7d78471245 I even listed the bus stops it will have and please give your thoughts about this. The main reason I proposed this bus route was mainly that Linden Boulevard is a major street yet it doesn't have a bus that operates down at least most of it.
  6. Even if it is long (well to me the B13 doesn't look that lengthy), then again how many people use the bus from end to end? Pretty few. Also Williamsburg Bridge is not much of an extension from Graham and Metropolitan Avenues. And yes Flushing Avenue/Bushwick Avenue/Grand Street may be bad but there is no other logical alternative other than rerouting the B13 which I don't want to do.
  7. Can two bus routes share a lane at Williamsburg because if yes then why don't they share the B24 lane as that bus is infrequent. If not then it could stop outside the terminal just like how Fresh Pond (user) said about the Q59 doing that.
  8. Probably due to the fact that the B13 terminated at Metropolitan and Graham so it completely overlapped the L train. It's much more efficient to take the L there than the B13 from the Ridgewood Terminal but if the B13 was sent to Williamsburg Bridge, it would most likely get more riders since it doesn't overlap the L after it would turn off Bushwick Avenue at Grand Street.
  9. How about an extension of the B13 to the Williamsburg Bridge. This could be done by resuming the path the B13 took to go towards it's former Williamsburg terminus (by continuing down Wyckoff Avenue until it reached Flushing Avenue, then made a left turn on Flushing and then a right on Bushwick Avenue and then terminating at Metropolitan Avenue) before it was shortened to Wyckoff Hospital during the 2010 cuts except it turns off Bushwick Avenue at Grand Street and follows the Q54 route towards Williamsburg. I wonder why the B13 doesn't go to the Williamsburg Bridge in the first place.
  10. Really extending the Q44 along the Q42 route is a waste. The Q42 has extremely low frequency and ridership. Extending the Q44 along the route would be overkill as it would be way too much frequency. Plus the Q44 is a limited service and it would have to make a bunch of stops on the route. I'm actually surprised the Q42 wasn't cut during the 2010 budget cuts. Q42 only works as a weekday rush hour route.
