  1. That is so not true. It's that he stated that a reason he gave was for his own benefits only. His argument would make sense if he stated how it would be for other people, not just him.
  2. When did I say it was like Lexington Avenue? I'd think it's more like Main Street if anything lol. Do you really think I would reduce local service. More Q111s would be added if all Q113s went limited down Guy R. Brewer Boulevard. And yes I do know about how packed the Q111/113 gets. And 10 minute intervals of limited service during rush is not enough on the Q113.
  3. Thing is, he mainly disagrees with my Q111/Q113 for his own selfish reasons. Saying it's your home route is not a good argument. It has to affect a lot of people, not just yourself. Plus I am not eliminating service, I'm increasing it by making Q111s go to Cedarhurst at all times and making all Q113s LTD down Guy R. Brewer since the Q111 is essentially a local Q113 so Q113 local isn't necessary.
  4. What the f*** does my Q90 have to do with this. Don't bring up bullshit that isn't related to what we are talking about. And yes the Q113 local is a duplicate because it's routing and stops are mostly the same as the Q111 (except after Brookville Boulevard/147 Avenue).
  5. *rolls eyes* No one cares if it's your home route and I'm sure people won't mind walking to a Q113 LTD stop on Guy R. Brewer.because the limited stops aren't that far apart actually. Also the Q113 local on Guy R. Brewer is too much of a duplicate of the Q111. And speaking of the Q111, how about extend it to Cedarhurst at all times.
  6. Explain how making Q113 LTD only on Guy R. Brewer doesn't work? And I could care less about service to North Shore Towers right now.
  7. Q9: No, it's a better idea to send it to JFK Airport (like I posted at least weeks ago) via Wan Wyck Service lane since a lot of Van Wyck residents use the bus to JFK, it would be a good option for them. Also it would be a cheaper alternative to the airtrain. No way I'm paying $5 for that shitty train when I could use a bus that's half the price ! People who agree with that would use it from Jamaica and also it would take off passengers on the Q3s who use it to JFK from Jamaica since those buses are crowded. Or at least send it to Lefferts Airtrain (like B35 via Church said) if anything. Also your Q9 duplicates the Q6 a little too much. Q12/Q36: Leave the Q12 alone, it doesn't need to be tampered with and the only thing I would suggest for the Q36 is to run it daily along Little Neck Parkway. Q37: A better idea is to extend the Q37 to JFK Airport via the local Q10's routing on 130 Street. Q10s are packed and since the Q37 is only a few blocks away from it on 111 Street, It would be a good alternative. Especially since a lot of people on 111 Street walk to Lefferts to catch the Q10 to JFK. Also in this proposal Q10 service along 130 Street is eliminated and replaced by Q37 (all Q10 locals and limiteds will continue down Lefferts Boulevard south of Rockaway Boulevard) Q40: A big NO. Q40 is a quick route and tampering with it would just make it unreliable. I'm not gonna lie but before I joined this forum, I considered rerouting the Q40 onto 143 Street since 142 Street was narrow but it wasn't a good idea because 143 Street is broken in sections and this rerouted Q40 would have to make a difficult turns on 109 Avenue to get onto 143 Street from Lakewood Avenue and on 120 Avenue where the section the reroute operates on ended. So don't tamper the Q40. The only thing I would do is extend the Q40 to 165 Street bus terminal since it is no longer necessary for it to connect directly to the .
  8. If the route was a duplicate, it would have to share it's route with another bus route which it doesn't. Also those buses you mentioned are slow locals and the are packed to the gills. Even the 2 Avenue wouldn't be much relief to the Lexington Avenue Subway.
  9. What is this other subway line? I only mentioned the Lexington Avenue Subway and the Metro North. I said the Lexington Avenue moves onto Lexington Avenue from Park Avenue at Grand Central and Metro North doesn't make stops along Park Avenue until 125 Street-Harlem.
  10. If your talking about the Lexington Avenue subway then it only serves Park Avenue until Grand Central then it goes onto Lexington Avenue. And Metro-North doesn't make any stops until Harlem-125 street so the street isn't served. Also is there a restriction of buses operating down Park Avenue and if yes, why are they in place?
  11. Actually the Q113 would only be limited along Guy R. Brewer but all buses would be local in Rockaway and the only logical place to extend the Q37 is to JFK Airport to relieve crowds on the Q10 and Q84 should be left the way it is. Also I stated to send all Q111s to Cedarhurst.
  12. How about a new M6 SBS (has no relation to the former M6 which was merged with the M5) via Park Avenue. It runs from Williamsburg to Washington Heights. It requires cannibalizing two existing routes however (B39 and S98) Heres the map of it: New M6 SBS - Google Maps Park Avenue is also a good candidate for SBS service as it is heavily used by traffic and is a wide street plus it can help relieve crowding on the IRT Lexington Avenue line which is always packed to the gills.
  13. Oh can you please make me a luminator titan bus sign that says the following Q90: RIDGEWOOD TERM then flickers via Broadway/via Central/Cooper Av then flickers Astoria/2 Street then that same process I stated repeats again. Also I really think your work is great man .
  14. Personally I think all Q113s should run limited on Guy R. Brewer Boulevard and the Q111 would be local however boost Q111 so it makes up for the lost Q113 local service. Also, extend Q111 to Cedarhurst at all times.
  15. I think a better idea would be to make bus only lanes for the B63 on select parts of 5 Avenue, especially the busiest sections. B37 should just be restored along the route it took prior to it being cut.
  16. Ignore him lol. That guy clearly has no idea what he's talking about. I bet he thinks he should call rename the Q44 the Qbx2 which would be ridiculous and revert the Q50 back to Qbx1. Seriously he's just clueless.
  17. B2 to Riis: Discussed before and not gonna happen (use Q35) B14 to Rockaway Boulevard : No, people use it to Spring Creek so leave it the way it is. B19: Duplicates B82 too much BM5 relabel: Not needed, it's termini are in Brooklyn and Manhattan so that is why it has a BM designation even though it makes stops along Woodhaven Boulevard. Again, quit it with the single word posts. It's ridiculous and a waste of time.
  18. Why? Got a problem with the route being left alone? B14 is fine the way it is and if you have a problem with it, complain to the MTA but do not take it out on me.
  19. B14 ain't gonna be extended anywhere let alone Grand Army Plaza. That end is fine the way it is. Eastern end, maybe to Gateway Mall seems logical but then again even the B13 doesn't carry too many passengers there and the B14 would have to use the exact same route as the B13 to Gateway so it should stay at Postal Facility.
  20. Here are a few service adjustments should be made to the Q1 and Q36: Q1: extended to Floral Park via Jamaica Avenue where Q36 currently terminates at during weekends. Also headways would be shortened to 5 minutes and service along Springfield Boulevard would be discontinued (all Q1s would diverge off Hillside Avenue at Braddock Avenue). Q36: all buses would run daily between Jamaica-165 Street Terminal and Little Neck LIRR Station with 20 minute headways. The reduced schedule is due to the Q1 extension and increased frequency and so it doesn't overserve Little Neck Parkway too much now all buses at all times would go there.
  21. B6 uses different routing and it's not as much of an extension. Also I dropped the proposal to send it to JFK. It would run between Coney Island and the New Lots Avenue Station. I think this thread could be locked now.
  22. If you want to extend Q60 to JFK, might as well merge it with Q6. Q60 to Penn Station? Yeah how about no. Q32 already goes to Penn Station.
  23. Yeah I actually though it was kinda ridiculous myself. I just posted it because I wanted to see what people thought. But I would still send B6 to Coney Island however. I had it in mind for a couple of years actually. For some reason I thought it would make sense but the length which is >18 miles is just ridiculous even with a limited.
  24. I have an idea about the B12. Extend it to Cobble Hill to replace the cut B71 along that route and also reroute on it onto Eastern Parkway from East New York Avenue because ENY Avenue has sections where it's one way. The B12 reroute onto Eastern Parkway would make it straighter. Also it doesn't diverge too far from it's current route. Still a walking distance to Prospect Park from Eastern Parkway. Here's the route map: https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&msa=0&msid=214089513480814599261.0004e168672bec2bc56f2 Anyways tell me your thoughts about this.
  25. But not from Coney Island or even Canarsie I'll do that from now on.
