  1. Cmon man, have some positivity ! Expect the worst, but hope for the best.
  2. Awesome, thanks for keeping us posted. Any information you can get on the next class date would be much appreciate. Good luck to you !
  3. I definetly understand why your upset, same thing happened to me with a different job. But listen, everything happens for a reason and i'm certain you'll get in next time around. What i want to know is how many people are in this training class, what's the highest list number in that class, and like you said, when's the next one. Everytime i call the human resource line i get no answers, oh well. When the time comes it'll come, and hopefully we'll be in the next training class together. As someone mentioned earlier in this forum, there's NO hiring freeze and supposively the MTA is in need of track workers. Since they did not reach into the 270s for this class, i can only imagine that this class is small in size. Which means they'll probably put another one right after, or hey, Maybe even a few weeks into the first one. But in any case, good things come to those who wait. Lastly, does anyone know how long the drug test is good for? That was a long day at livingston street and would hate to have to redo it, but if i must, so be it!
  4. Hey guys for those of you who got the call to come in for the second medical would someone mind posting the number that they received a call from, I have to missed calls today from 2 numbers i dont know of, and just wanted to make sure it wasnt important. Thank you

  8. anyone else going in for medical and such tomorrow morning?
  9. Thanks for the clarification, mta track workers even work in staten island? I thought staten island had there own crew since they put out an exam not to long ago for the title of "staten island railway track worker"
  10. awesome, and when do you get to choose to go into capital construction?
  11. Excellent, and also how does the whole overtime thing work, ive never had a city job so im really not sure. Do you know when you're working overtime or does it just come as it comes? And can you ask for it or do you just stay later that day if the boss tells you? Thanks for any details
  12. Awesome, and is it at the starting rate which i think was 21 an hour or is it a less amount just for the training? (Sorry for all the questions but i appreciate all your responses)!
  13. Hey guys 2 questions.....after you complete the training course is there some type of skills test or something that you have to pass in order to get hired after the training?........and do you get paid doing training ?
  14. Got the letter today to come in for medical like you guys.....list number slightly above the 270s
  15. Nice! I wonder what the cut off was for list numbers they called, maybe around 150?
  16. Nice, tell us all about it when you get back !
  17. Hey pilotboy, whats your approximate list number ?
  18. Wow, thats bad on their part. Really hope this doesnt delay the process
  19. Hey Spikemauler, check your inbox ! Thank you
  20. Congrats man, if you dont mind me asking, whats your approximate list number ?
  21. so just to be clear, there is no physical ability test like lifting a certain amount of weight or something else to become a track worker?
  22. When you guys say going in for the "Physical", you mean medical stuff like heart rate check etc?.....or like an actual physical ability test like push ups or lifting something.......or is there no such test for track workers?
  23. Yeah but to get 30 people they'll obviously have to go past 30 on the list since there are some people that may not be qualified
