  1. welcome to the drunktrain. Here its Cubs fans and drunks after the last express in the summer... I havent taken a late train recently to experience the horror sadly Oh no not just that, the fighting and screaming of them too. I've had that happen. Or when they fall over everywhere
  2. Interesting. I thought they banned it like the MBTA (or atleast I think the MBTA did). When I first moved here, It was extremely odd to see stations selling 24oz cans, people with bottles of wine and yesterday, 2 cases of pint beers (18 total). I've always wondered if the people that drink on Metra go home drunk.... In constrast, the CTA prohibits alcohol for obvious reasons.
  3. sitting on the 504 wheaton rocket back home.... mos of the car is drinking haha
  4. Tying on to this... does the MTA allow alcohol on commuter trains? Here they do... just saw a 12 pack get broken open. and a bottle of wine.
  5. just preordered a new scooter... should be coming in early november
  6. Get a windows phone, they are better Im not biased at all with my Nokia Lumia, trust me I kid tho, but iOS7 has some serious problems
  7. The one I got works well for me. Im 5'11 and 185 and i go fast. Suprisingly... ive seen businessmen with suit and ties on them. They are easier to carry than a bike, and you can take it on Metra during peak times unlike a bike. Plus you dont have to worry about theft... my internship boss got his bike stolen from outside the Willis Tower recently. However this happened: I ended up reparing it with a 70 cent bolt and 13 cent lock nut. But if the handlebars move or come off again.. im spending the 260.
  8. Random thought that could apply to other commuter railroads... What if they served BOB snacks on longer (1:45 hr+) trips?
  9. welll I just broke my Razor A5 Lux kick scooter. the handlebars separated from the base. Looks like its time to get the Kickped from NYCEWheels... for 256 dollars...
  10. The urban planner in me thinks that is so cool! It would be awesome for them to leave the tracks in place along with the trolley wire and such to give it that industrial look. Defiently agree with using it as a night club or such (as highlighted in the video) Access to tracks and noise may be an issue however. I love spaces like this!
  11. it snowed here today. Luckily it was in the suburbs. and not the Loop
