Today my E train was so crowded! I had to sort of push into the car and put my backpack not he ground. My brother got his backpack caught in the doors as they were closing, so that they had to open again. There was literally no room to push my glasses up my face. I was rubbing against 3 people. A Queens Blvd Bypass via the LIRR Main Line is needed!
I doubt that the is that crowded (the last one I took had some breathing room and a place for your backpack) so maybe take a train from the and put it on the ? And is Culver really that crowded that it needs 14 TPH?

61 Street might be too close to comfortably accommodate the connection to 63 Street and Queens Boulevard. Besides, a 61 Street station would also serve 60 and 59 Street, no?
Good point. Maybe move it north a little, and the 59th St station south a liitle? Maybe a station between 63rd St to 67th St? You could name it 66th St.

Besides, the non-shiny R62s make it a little more classical. <--- Whatever this means.
And the same does not apply to R68s. The filth on them is as ugly as hell.

Speaking of FastTrack, what in the world are they doing on the line this month?
I don't think the has Fastrack. It is a seperate project. CBTC and infracture and shit like that.

Example: Passengers on train are rioting.
Example: Showtime Folks!
Example: basically any crime actively being comitted on the train.
it's a bit of a catch-all. but RTO isn't the cops.
Okay.

Nope, still don't understand. Example?

The PA5s on PATH have a weather display on the TV Screens inside the car.... So at least one rail system thought it would be useful. Mind you its basically the same car as the 160s with minor differences.
How would it be useful and how would benefit?

What's a 12-12? Misbehaving passengers, what it means?

Oh, that's what it's called? Still learning the different buses, lol.

Guys, do you remember when the first LFS's came in, they stuck them in random places? Along with the LFS came the XDs and some other bus that didn't look modern at all. I remember it on the Q88. It had a really high back and looked a bit squary. In the back, your legs would be over the bottom of the window. Do you guys remember it and what is it called?

What is a 12-9?

(Also I've never posted on this forum at all until now so hi )
LOL, you just got two rank upgrades while you were away!

Would be cool if they have a 7-day forecast weather display on the small tv screen on R160s.
Why is it in this thread? And it would literally be useless. What does the have to do with weather reports?

So they must have turned off the third rail? Or was that just a pretext?
It's been stated by w8Hou.

They had to choose this particular day to turn at Jackson Heights. Oh well, more transfers for more railfanning!

Poor line always getting knocked out. I wonder why they have to knock the ? Maybe it due to the shared track in the tunnel?
Yeah.

So I caught 7204 on the B62 last night Downtown Brooklyn. While I enjoyed the ride from Bk to LIC (new fresh bus smell and all), I realized that the XD40 is not really ideal for rush hour crowding, especially on routes like the ones at Flatbush.
How does the XDs deal with crowding? Is it the same as C40LF? I remember the XD being a C40LF-ified LFS.

That's also the result of the same exact thing too. Besides, it's not like it takes more than at least a minute or two to make sure a train is completely empty before going to the relay, is it?
What exactly happens if one gets trapped in a car going into relay and the train is already headed for relay? BTW a Times Sq-bound closed its doors and took 5 minutes to clear everyone out to enter relay. Two crazy kids and two moms decided to take the subway car as a playground and a dining car.

Um, sorry. Haven't been following.

Instead of UES fastrack they are going to focus on the in the Bronx. Maybe it due to the derailment earlier today

Did they complete the investigation?

Most likely because of money and the need for nova to deliver the LFS ASAP since the LFS are like a month late on delivery.
How does money contribute to back windows? Do they remove engine space or something?
0 -
Okay, why are they removing the back windows?

BUS - Random Thoughts Thread
in New York City Bus

Does anybody have a complete list of which buses were part of the MTA Bus Company and which were part of the NYC Transit? I remember they showed it in the pre-2010 maps.
