Correct the MCI parking was spilt between MJQ/OH to make more space on the Roof. The job is not suppose to go past the Summer Pick as it stands right now. The problem was MV didn’t have enough space to Take the M60/66, you would have to still send routes out of MV for 5443-5467.

    5443 is Kingsbridge

    5444-5467 is MQ..

Someone has to say it. If you're in the seven or eight thousands, you never should have been hired. Thank covid for the opportunity. I'm not even sure I should have been hired.  (5000s) A new list means better candidates with better scores, potentially.

I mean if transit is extending the other tests why not extend the conductors test for another year?

What Transit wants to do is anyone's guess. What we do know is there is a promotional exam set to take place at the end of the month, another application for promotion to conductor in May, and an open competitive application in June. So they may just decide to let this exam expire on February 14, 2023 as stated on DCAS and wait for the certified list to be released for the upcoming exams.

If they let the test expire on 2/14/23. That sucks for the people that are in the 8000's and 9000's like myself..  I know that personnel has stated they are in the 7000's on this list.  Personally, transit needs to get out of DCAS with regards to handling the test and handle their own testing.

Although this is correct, as I previously stated, as of this typing, the last certification for the titles of Bus Operator, Conductor and Track Worker was back on August 10, 2022.

    Happy Holidays!!

Good morning @+Young+  and happy new year. Much prosperity and strength in 2023. Got a question. I noticed that there are list extension updates for every exam except this one. Will the TA extend this list until 2024 meanwhile there’s a possible open competitive exam that could be scheduled as soon as June or July 2023 with an early 2024 test date?

4616 was a mistake on my end. But the other units I've mentioned has not been active since last week and since the the beginning of December,  the other ones been dead since November too. Plus with the XD40's coming in to FB safe to say that those buses are definitely done and or transferred to MTA Bus, but if so just give an update.

No problem on that.  Just got word that 4595 is also not dead and active in service today and that's on the B41 currently.

4333, 4603, 4606 are all being worked on as of this morning. 4629 may be a potential MTA bus transfer (That unit is excellent). Just saw that unit last week on the B49.

Also 4546 is back in service as of this morning on the B17.

3991,3998,4064,4092,4425,4434-4435 & 4572 is retired from FP Depot.

3978 & 4546 is retired from ENY Depot.

4333,4335,4591,4595,4603,4606,4616 & 4629 is retired from FB Depot.

4616 is not retired.. The unit worked both on the B41 and B46 on Wednesday.

4606 also not retired. This unit worked on Monday and Wednesday.

Also, I'm questioning a few of the units from FB.. Some of these units just worked last week & Monday. Responses in Italics

4333 last ran on the B44 on 12.12.22  (not retired. I think this unit is on a break)

4591 last ran on the B49 on 11.29.22

4595 last ran on the B31 on 12.14.22 (not retired. Also, I think unit is on a break or possible MTA bus transfer)

4603 last ran on the B49 on 12.9.22

4606 last ran on the B46 on 12.16.22 (Back in service as of 12.21.22)

4616 last ran on the B41 in 12.17.22 (Back in service as of 12.21.22)

4629 last ran on the B41 on 12.16.22 (not retired. Also, Unit may be on break)

Unless these units have fareboxes removed I'd give it some extra time for this.

List of missed opportunities in this redesign:

So we see the B75 partially revived in the form of a proposed B27 from Vinegar Hill (Downtown Brooklyn) to Red Hook, but not straightening the B16 on Ft Hamilton Pkwy.

Considering the B47 would not use Clarkson, I would have sent the B16 to cover that portion

A 16 Av route going from Church Av (F)(G) to Caesars Bay. I suppose the (MTA) would say it's too close the (B8) (See #3)

The B10 could have went to the old B12 terminal in Cypress Hills. Similar to the B5/6 combo. Especially when the (C) goes express between Broadway Junction and Euclid. (See #1)

A 65 St route from Sunset Park to Kings Plaza (See #2)

Possibly splitting the B47 up and reviving the old B78 to a degree (See #4)

I keep saying this.. Cityline- Liberty Avenue needs bus service again. The Q24/B13/Q7/Q8 combos won't work for this area. The B10 will address the Liberty/Grant/Sheridan Avenue issues.

An improved B2 service down 65th Street would work for Kings Plaza.

This is where the B23 needs it's 16th Avenue service restored

B47 needed a split from Rutland Road/Sutter Avenue with the re-invention of the B78. The northern portion of that route is overkill and doesn't warrant Woodhull service.

    To add:

B14 could use a extension to Rockaway Blvd (A) instead of the Euclid Avenue (A)(C). However, it does address Pitkin Avenue bus service which is needed in the area. I still have questions about Sutter Avenue service since most patrons are accustomed to Sutter Ave versus Pitkin Avenue. As long as the (L)  and (3) connection is maintained for Brownsville and ENY Patrons I really don't see any problems.

When I went to school in that area it was always a hastle trying to get to Broadway Junction when the (A)(C) and people were piling on the (J)(Z) was down (specifically when the (A) train started smoking (I don't know the mechanic stuff) and everyone was getting on the Q24 or the (J)(Z) , but it's harder to get to Southern Brooklyn. The old B12 service would've served the area nicely but that was cut out during the 2010 budget cuts. If you wanted to get to... Gateway Mall or Coney Island or even the Bay Ridge area you'd have to take the  (J)(Z) into Manhattan for the (N)(Q)(R)(F), the (A)(C) to the (F) at Jay St or get out at Hoyt/Fulton and walk to DeKalb or Atlantic Avenue. The issue is partically solved because a Q8 can just take you to the (3) train at New Lots Ave but there's no direct routes to South Brooklyn that I know of. This would solve that.

Gateway Mall is via the B13 & Q8...

Last sentence: B6 at New Lots (3) train station goes into South Brooklyn..

Keep the B2, 31, and 100 the same (routings) as today west of Gerritsen, and send the B2 via Fillmore to Flatbush Av and then Kings Plaza.

That keeps the stop on the 100 at Madison HS, and consolidates Marine Park service without cutting half of it.

Community Board 18 is pretty vocal.  They will go against any proposal that eliminates the B2 and B31 getting clipped.  Sending the 2 to Fillmore makes the most logical sense. If Avenue S doesn’t want service or it’s a hassle to deal with the turns down S just move to Fillmore for feasible service.

The list will be extended for another year at least. They just had an application for promotion to conductor & it’s going to take some time for that exam to be ready to be used for hiring. Don’t sweat it.

Copy copy good brother.. Thank You.. I'm in the 9000's and just saw that a OC Conductor test may OPEN up in June 2023 for filing (Subject to change of course) and yes the promo test expected to open for March 2023 for filing. If they do extend the list which is expected they could get thru the list up until late 2024/2025.
