  1. I've spilled a lot in the actual thread, go check it out.
  2. Listen to the CTA 5000 series. They are very loud because it lets employee's know whether or not the motors are working correctly, which is an advantage to current motors which can be more difficult to find problems with.
  3. May I add any leaked photos will get staff members in trouble, (inside shots e.t.c). Heard today that a guy posted a video of testing on SAS. Apparently the guy got sacked after the media picked up the video.
  4. I have alot of info on the 179's
  5. Correct. The inverter number I received is exactly the same as the one on the 5000 series. The 179 has almost the exact same FIND display as the 160. The FIND displays are manufactured by Panasonic. All routes are programmed into the AAS. The FIND on the 179 is just the newer model of the display. Basically the only change on the 179 FIND is the fact that they have a larger LCD screen where the route is displayed. Other then that the system is basically the same. from an employee matches to that of the 5000 series.
  6. The inverter model number I have fan Railer is exactly the same as the CTA 5000 inverter. It sounds different due to the weight of the train cars being significantly heavier then then CTA 5000 series.
  7. Oh really, because 99% of the R179 information he posted was completely false, meanwhile the information I got from staff members was completely conflicted and actually correct. The M9 was never "in". A mockup set was completed and is way over FTA limits which are preventing mockups from ever entering service currently. Thanks,
  8. So this is BS then? It hasn't actually been delivered. See this is why I can't trust anybody here because they have no evidence.
  9. The 179 came with it pre-installed, look at the technical data bombardier posted.
  10. Really thats why the video tour that TrainKid Kriss posted had CBTC and ATO installed ready for service. Right I cant believe anything you are saying at all because 1. You dont work for the MTA. 2. Alot of things you have said are false. I'm going off word by ACTUAL employees directly from them.
  11. Thats the rejected set sir. Look at this video and then look at the real image of the delivery. https://youtu.be/mODRh1AfGTA?t=6m37s EDIT (nevermind got confused)
  12. Heres a comparison of the R179 and R160. 160 is on the right. It looks like its essentially just an R160 with no changed whatsoever (besides the interior and possibly a propulsion change)
  13. That was the confirmed design before it was delivered and rejected, so at the time of the post, it was correct.
  14. ye but I heard some high pitch frequencies in there *you have to listen VERY closely* and I can tell it didn't match anything that I've ever heard on 1508C
  15. You can doubt my musicians ear, but that DEFINITELY didn't sound like 1508C in that video
  16. Do you have any more info then this? Everyone else has said that this is currently false, and unless you know for a fact....
  17. The Bottom is an actually a mockup, it wasn't the actual train. It was pretty much identical to the R160 and they didn't want that. The top is the true design of the train.
  18. Are you going to try and get us pictures if possible? If you know anyone at the MTA, or anyone does, try and get some possible arrival video?
  19. Any confirmation on the propulsion? For god sakes tell me its MITRAC 1508C. If it uses the TR or 2009 stock MITRAC im going to be so sad.
