  1. Yeah, I hear ya, but that's just the nature of the beast. We all accepted that risk ("you're mission, should you choose to accept it"LOL), and it REALLY hurts when you put in all that time and preparation only to blow it on a one-shot test, but you CAN request list reinstatement after a year. But as far as leaving a good, steady job for this, it ends up being worth it when you pass. And you WILL pass, THAT'S how you increase your chance of success, by SEEING yourself nailing that thang.
  2. Yep....THAT very one. And the thing is, I went over all of my answers at LEAST seven times and STILL didn't catch it. I'll tell you brutha', you do NOT want to experience what it's like to be called into the Superintendent's office and told which one nailed you and that you're basically fired. Please, PLEASE keep studying those signals and know them COLD, HOT, WARM, whichever....make it your BUSINESS to master them!
  3. The one that nailed me was the signal aspect of a home interlocking signal. In my answer I literally "redefined" into something like a grade timer. I'm STILL kicking myself....grrr.
  4. @RTO...I wish I had asked more, I'd have finished schoolcar, been on the road and off probation soon...If I can get back in I will DEFINITELY do things differently!
  5. Since there's TWO signals tests now, will that actually help T/O's to NOT run signals at danger on the road?
  6. I would LOVE an opportunity to become a locomotive engineer for the LIRR. I've put in applications for a few years now.....but I hope to get a "golden ticket" for the orientation in the future!
  7. Hello all, I'm new to forums....but NOT new to reading these posts as I have "lurked" for a while. I can't really give any advice, as I was already in schoolcar but lost a "fight" with "Mr.Zignal Teste;-)". I CAN say, that patience is key to all those waiting to be called....I was bursting at the seams for "the call" too, but it WILL come!!
