Is it for every 1 person they need they call in 3 for processing ? Or is it 1:5 ? Can’t remember. If they need 225, then they should be calling in around 675 ppl over a span.

My first was 12/3 and I don’t see the date on the chart. So that 5/7 might not mean anything.

What was the first date of your PE ? I see I have a 5/7 date as well. I don’t really understand it all.

I was told from two people that I know who work at transit that the next class will be in May. I’m not sure who my friend asked, but he was asking around a lot for me because he wants me to get in. Keep in mind nothing is official but this is what he found out and I’m not sure from who. Honestly this seems about right though the last class was the end January so that’s a 3 month gap. Also they have been short instructors so May kind of makes sense.

Yeah me too lol. I won’t even be mad if I have to go for two more preemployemts honestly, because I know eventually I will be in lol. Right now all I’m going to do is continue to enjoy my freedom before the MTA takes over my life lol.

Had preemployment today. Got there around 6:40am and there were about 10 people ahead of me. Left at 12:01 also I was one of the first ppl out of the group of train operators to be called for the drug test in the lab, which got packed extremely fast. The lady who gave us our orientation speech said there’s two classes coming up, December 17th and January 7th and she spoke as if we will be in the Jan 7 class, which I highly doubt since my number is 18xx. Overall pretty Smooth process for me just a lot of paper work to fill out. I anticipate coming back for a second pre-employment sometime after my drug test expires, but next time I will get there even earlier lol. Hey, Do you mind if I can ask you a few questions about filling out the paper work. I have P/E on Monday. And my current job has been my first job for the last 7 years. Do I just write unemployed after that ?

I honestly feel most of us will have to do at least 1 more PE/drug test. Maybe like 1100 + will have to do a second or even possibly a third. Im low 1800, i have PE next week. so my drug test will expire in February.

I guess I’m going to try and just get there at around 5:30 am lol.

This is what I was trying to explain to this board in my other post. It’s common sense the MTA Are not hiring 1000 ppl short term. Yes I understand they are extremely short T/o’s My Brother tells me this al the time because he is one, but basic math will tell you they are not calling ppl in that are 1200+ for medicals or even after that for class no time soon. They will have to go from 400-1000. That’s 600 ppl. How many people are there per class ? Lol just ask yourself the simple questions and it will make sense. Not trying to bash but we are all anxious to start we just have to go through the process forget about it and remain patient.

IMO, we will all have to do multiple pre employments. Just because we (1100 + list number) are getting called for pre employement right now means nothing honestly. I feel they are just canvassing a bunch of people to get people ready and have a handleful of people to pull from in the future. It’s common sense. What list number are they up to that are in classes ?400 tops ? So don’t just think this will just happen soon. They just want to have people ready with paper work and drug test, so when it’s time to pull people, they can do so fast without much delay. I’m 18xx and have pre employment in December and I don’t honestly see them getting ready to put me in a class no earlier than May-July. Just my honest opinion. I understand everyone here is very anxious and wants to start the job like yesterday, but we have to remain pantient and remeber that the MTA really sucks when it comes to the whole hiring process for jobs. I for one am sick and tired of my current job (USPS) and have been here for 6 years and want out immediately lol. I am just continuing to bank my time in preparation to burn all of it as soon as the MTA calls me up lol.

Imo they should at lest go through 4,000 by the time the exam expires. Plus my brother who is also a train operator told me that they are in great need of T/O’s and a lot of people usually move out of the position.

*shrug* lol don’t worry if you have a decent score you will be reached within four years.

They should have mailed it to you. The list isn't established yet.

Yup that happened to my brother about a month or so on his train. Nothing he could do, the person had fainted.

Realistically I feel all the pre employments they sent out so far are for hiring till the end of this year. So when the need to fill positions comes up they can then start calling those people in for medicals and so fourth. I don’t see them calling many more people in this year for pre employment, even after the list is established. At most they should reach 1000 for pre employment by the end of this year. Just my opinion.
