  1. If you went to pre-employment already, you should be good for June or July class.
  2. If you were in the military, they'll give extra points. We have people who scored 102 on the exam so their list number is up there in the single digits. Also, some people could've been placed on medical hold. For medical, they'll have you do a questionnaire. Then a hearing test, vision test, ekg, and ask about sleep apnea. If all goes well with medical, they'll have you wait in the area where you were in the morning for your interview. There you will find out if you made the class. Fingerprints and photo for your pass will be done that same day.
  3. Yup it is...and once you get the pieces of paper they give at the interview, order a backpack/duffle via Amazon. Kaka and Ibagbar are the names. TRUST ME, you'll need it.
  4. If I remember correctly, for NYCT, they said that you get night differential 6pm Friday to 6am Monday
  5. 57 total for this class. On the second day, you'll go to the school house where you'll get more paperwork to do. They do give you a paper where it'll ask which division you wish to work. Now, for my class, 7 went to A division (IRT) and the rest went to B division (IND/BMT). They go by list number for seniority. The next class that goes in, most might go to A division.
  6. For night differential, here you go... Every employee is entitled to a Night Differential of Night shift pay of not less than 10% of his regular wage for each hour of work performed between 10pm and 6am. To determine the employee Night Differential pay: Ordinary Day Night Differential = (Hourly rate × 10% × 8 hours). For Conductor, it's between the hours of 1800 to 0559
  7. During the orientation with TWU, they'll hand out lots and lots of paperwork. One of them is the salary. It'll show how much you'll make plus what the night differential amount is. Note that night differential starts at 6:00 PM until 5:59 AM.
  8. The first 6601 class started Monday. We just received some of the equipment for the class and when we go to the field. Good luck to those going through OPA and pre-employment. Just make sure to pay attention to everything they say and ask for.
  9. They say between 3-90 days. If all goes well, they'll email you about 3-5 days after pre-employment to come in for final medical and the interview
  10. When you hand in the money order, they'll tell you to make it out to NYC DCAS. You'll also put your address, sign and put the last 4 of your social. Make sure they take your picture once they get your fingerprints. I had to return to take the picture
  11. Lots of paperwork. Fill out the paperwork they sent you, and have everything they request ready to go. You will also do a drug test and they'll hand you a packet as homework
  12. They ask for your SS card, picture ID, birth certificate, passport if needed to substitute for ID, HS diploma, DD214 original copy if you're a veteran, and the pre-employment form they sent you in the mail. If you can't find your HS diploma (like me), they'll tell you the next time you come in, to have it with you. Try contacting the Dept of Education and the HS you attended.
  13. Most were out by about 12 pm. They want to get as many as they can since some will decide not to take the job
  14. From my understanding, and I just left the process, after the June class, I heard the following one would be in July.
  15. I also have a friend that said if everything goes right after pre-employment, they hire 2 weeks to a month to get hired
  16. It could also be that people who received these letters may decide to not take this job. Keep your head up high and hope for the best.
  17. I just received a letter from MTA to begin the pre-employment process on Monday. Has anyone else received the same letter? I took the OPA back in November and just discovered my list number is 6*
