It's a great job but it requires some sacrifice as far as all the traveling in the beginning. If you haven't been a Cr for long then u must be xx anyway. What would suck is what happened to a classmate who was a Cr in the A division and our whole induction got sent to the B. He went back because the traveling was just too much which i understand being a Bronx resident.

Think about it long and hard but it really is a great job. Just be sure before u come cause it isn't the easiest.

Yea I’m currently in B div and I’m xx. Tbh if they told me I was getting sent to the A div I wouldn’t even consider it. Appreciate your input. Def will think about it

Actually i suggest being sure before taking the job. It's gonna be there but if he isn't sure, comes and takes a seat, and decides a month in he doesn't like it...then all he or she would be doing is taking a seat from someone else. A lot of conductors go back.

She* but yes I’m really on the fence about it. I don’t want to waste anyone’s time. I am aware that there are other people out there that really want this. I’m def going to weigh out the pros and cons.

Hey guys, I received a text yesterday stating for me to response to the email canvass, however I have yet to receive this email. My list number is 21xx. Does it take a couple of days for the email to show up after the initial text? Thanks!

I received the text as well and about a couple minutes later I checked for the email and it was in my inbox. Did you check your junk mail?

I’ll be there with you bro. Was sworn in this past Wednesday. Just ordered my boots. So excited man can’t wait to start this new chapter in my life. I wish the rest of you lots of luck out there. Don’t be discouraged and just be patient. God has a plan for everyone. Be safe.

If you don’t mind me asking what’s your list number? Just curious how much longer of a wait I might have as my list number is 18**

I too was recently at pre-employment. Dows anyone recall approximately how long it took them from first visit to being sworn in? Also, I was expecting an interview; when does that happen during the process? Though I'm more interested in people's length of time to being officially hired. Thanks

I can answer the latter part for you. The interview portion takes places after the medical portion. So if all goes well with the medical directly after that you meet with someone who goes over all your paperwork to make sure everything is in order and they will ask if you are available to start on a certain date. That’s pretty much what the “interview” process entails.

My list number was 18XX for Pre-Employment on June 10th, although I didn't take the job.

Thank you. I was there on the 11th and my list number is 18xx as well. We probably would have been in a class together eventually had you not passed up on the job. By any chance did they mention what month a class for a list number like ours would start?

I’m up at 180 Livingston st right now, arriving at 6:30 is a must. I thought it was a dress code? I see people in sweats.....

The reason why everyone is not in business casual attire is because some people are already employees of MTA and might be there for other reasons besides pre employment. I was there yesterday for my first pre employment as well.

A lot of sitting and waiting bro. Lol. But it’s just paperwork and drug test.

Thank you! I received an email that included paperwork already would you happen to know if I have to fill it out ahead of time or do I fill it out when I get to Livingston
