  1. Why did the MTA really cut the from Forest Hills back in April 2010? Was it because the MTA lacked equipment for to down Queens Blvd? Or was it due to low ridership? I think was useful on the weekends (On queens blvd) even though it would been a hassle to catch with 4 cars.
  2. Back in 2001 after 9/11, when the ran local all throughout 7 Av into Brooklyn, was time schedule slow for both of these routes? I'm quite sure that a line that has at least 70 stops and runs local might require lots of rolling stock. How did the deal all those stops? Did the have to give up some of their cars for the ? I know that most of redbirds (R26, R27, R28) were reefed by Aug 2001 and R142 were still in delivery. Did the ever use R62's during this time? I know that the had to steal R62's to make the long extension into New Lots. Did the lack service when it ran as an express to 14 St?
  3. can run local via Montague St and Broadway during weekdays after Rush Hour calms. If this sounds funny I apologize but im trying to find an alternative instead of bring a that is stealing cars from
  4. Thanks for correcting me. I was confused when I was reading it.
  5. I heard from Wiki that Additional R32 sets will be placed on the for 2 Av when it opens. I don't know if this statement is true. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R179_(New_York_City_Subway_car)
  6. 1. No is needed. 2. Have 2 services during rush hour. 4 Av Exp via Manhattan Bridge Broadway Exp Astoria Lcl. 4 Av Exp Via Montague St Broadway Lcl Astoria Exp. Only 5 run in AM and PM rush 3. Skip-Stop is not needed that's why it got eliminated in 2005. 4. express along Woodlawn was tried before in 2009 under the pilot program but it was unpopular. 5. running express from E180 to Gun Hill Road via White Plains makes no snese and MTA has never tried it. 6. Rush Hour should go to Euclid Av while the goes to Ozone Park.
  7. It can be from another 10-20 years from now who knows? Maybe next year.
  8. Why is local service on Hudson line is so slow between Croton-Harmon and Grand Central? Can it be due to frequency with diesel service coming to/from Poughkeepise and also Amtrak service going to Toronto/Montreal?
  9. What will be the service changes if the North Side or South Side of the Manhattan Bridge closes again?
  10. Lex Av is really busy line point blank period. And it's been like that since the 1950s.
  11. I'm well aware that the ran to 21 St on weekends prior to 2001 and on weekdays but that's what i was not asking.
  12. 1. Chrystie Street Connection is the reason behind your complaint 2. ran empty to Chambers St and Bay Parkway when it served Nassau St 3. The MTA saw the as way of getting passengers to Midtown Manhattan conveniently without transferring at Essex for the . WOW well done
  13. Show me an example on how the can be sent to 2 Av through 6 Av?
  14. To take things into consideration in case the Bridge goes through another reconstruction project that disrupts subway service. It's called pre planning.
  15. 1. If the Manhattan Bridge closes on South side have the run along Montague St with the . After 34 St (Northbound), Have the diverge to the express tracks skipping 49 St. I propose this because the can't be sent over to 6 Av like it did years back. If it get sent down 6 Av, it will have to run along with the express all way to Jamaica 179 St. With the situation, I would say that additional in Astoria should be added as a replacement for the . always had to borrow cars from . service in Brooklyn remains unaffected. On the weekends have stop at Dekalb. 2. If the North Side Manhattan Bridge closes bring the 2001-2004 pattern back. brought back to Coney Island running full time and (Broadway Exp) (4 Av Exp) during the Day and Local at night. will have to re-route back to Montague St (All times) running local all way to Astoria. will continue to run express in Brooklyn until/After Barclays Center. is set out as replacement for as express service on Brighton. will use the Bridge. all times. In addition extended to 9 Av on weekdays and Rush Hours (Bay Parkway). skip-stop suspended. I know this plan sounds unoriginal but I tried to tweak it in every best possible way.
  16. The having 3 terminals has been like this for past 24 years. I don't think it's confusing. If a is riding to Lefferts but mistakenly catches the Rockaway Park or Far Rockaway they can get off at Rockaway Blvd. Same goes for the Far Rockaway rider on the Lefferts. If the run to Lefferts it will require more train sets and crews to maintain service for both lines. And if the is going towards Manhattan from Lefferts after Rockaway Blvd it will run empty because riders like the express service.
  17. has less stops then the . I guess having a few stops means more frequency in service.
