  1. Ok got home and sure enough pre employment letter! Going in next friday too! #1030
  2. Going based on the last test you could be looking around 3 years, maybe a bit more depending if they meet their conductor needs. You won't receive a letter for the OPA until they are closer to the point that they will want you for pre-employment.
  3. Everyone is more then likely talking about the same class. There's probably only 1.
  4. You can receive a statement of your employment history from Social Security by completing a Request for Social Security Earnings Information form. You will receive detailed information about your work history including employment dates, employer names and addresses, and earnings. The Social Security Administration charges a fee for detailed information based on the length of time for which you would like to receive records

  6. Got my OPA letter. I passed. No pre employment, will remain on eligible list. #103*
  7. Prep your memory skills. I'm sure most can pick out the key things to remember. I personally take Fish Oil daily which helps brain performance. For part 2 don't over think your answer. They play an example for you. Try to keep it just like the example. Don't ramble to much. I haven't gotten a letter but have taken the OPA
  8. If you look the cert expiration is 4/23/18 so I would think they would start moving before then. No?
  9. The one thing about that video that stood out to me was shortage of Train Operators and Conductors, yes get to my number faster pls!
  10. To help make the time seem to go by a little better I suggest you do some family events, take some vacations, and get any life objectives you've had outside of getting into the MTA out of the way. Cause if were in then I guarantee that those things will be scarce, maybe even nonexistent in some of our lives lol.
  11. The OPA is half memory half something else, its hard to gauge cause we are the first to take it, could be looking for speech efficiency, could be looking for accuracy, who knows
  12. Depends where in the 1000's I got 1030 and am very hopeful of being called within the first year
  13. I got my letter in the mail to, confirms my 1030.00 lol gotta get in the .00 in case someone claims 1030.01 lol
  14. It's still all speculation at this point guys. Patience is key, much needed for the position were going for 🙄
  15. My official number is 1030, I am very excited and do believe that if they continue going at the rate they were with 8094 my number can come up quick!
  16. I took the train operators test as well, if they tell me I didn't get past the OPA then I can change up my approach when I go in for the OPA for train operator!
  17. The thing about the OPA is it seems to be subjective (based on how you look at it)I personally feel like I didn't do to great. If I had to give any advice on my own I would say keep the answers short sweet and to the point
  18. The hardest part will be waiting to see if we passed the OPA. With the test at least they gave us a date that we could check our answers and gauge how we did. Doesn't seem like the case for the OPA. Would stink if you find out you failed the OPA by also finding out your name isn't on the list!
