HMmmm $19 an hour?...... I believe they probably working for MTA bus division since the hiring pay now is 24 and change after the new contract was negotiated.

This job is stressful because of many rules transit has putting in place but its up to you as an employee to do the right thing. Overall me personally I love what Im doing....Plenty money to make and many room for growth with this organization. This job is not for everyone and some  will fail  probationary period or worst the 2nd year if they keep violating the rules. But trust me its a good career and you will enjoy it if you have a goal to why you’re doing it.

Couldn't agree more, but as long you follow the zerega you will make it. I love it so far as well. Something I wanted to do. Doing what you want imo will make you (I) happy. I look forward to going to do what I love.

I have a hard question, Im on 4600 test, list number 107X, and was called last year, but put on hold for points, also on test 4105 mabstoa, list number 210X...

I was told to come back in December when I'm eligible for both, which one should I process for???

4600 nyc transit , or 4105 mabstoa??? I know the questions been asked of whats the difference, but which one would you choose and why??? pros and cons???

    Thank you

Just to add on to what 161 said. If your TA and take or if you have taken the conductor or Train Operator exam and get called(been TA) if it don' t work out then you can go  back to B/O(within a 1 year) TA you get your time where was coming from OA into a TA title you would have to start over (as far as how long you would have to work) Only thing when working in a other position ewhen your already TA you will lose seniority.

Finally passed day 9 today. It was really intense. The route was short, but with the construction and traffic, people walking Infront. The exam was about 1hr and 15min. No crazy turns, just a hook turn about Twice. I’m just glad is over. Jamaica depot is where they sent me on Monday.

    good luck to all.

Congrats, welcome to the family. I love it so far.

I like the way it feels. I'll be happy to operate whatever they give me. I have to go back to Jamaca Depot at 0830 tomorrow for Day 9.

My favorite is the New Flyers XD’s. Operating it feels like your pushing a bens or sport car lol. I hate the RTS, especially the right side mirror.

Agreed the RTS R/S mirror is a pain in the rear end. It's a workout to get it set properly.

  7. How is training going for 12/26? Hope all are going well. Today was Day 4 I loved going through the El Pillars. I loved the snow it was great. I only messed up one acute turn because I wasnt properly set up(it was an extremely tight turn onto a two way street). I'm excited for Monday the concrete jungle aka Manhattan. Happy Year everybody and good luck to all of the 12/26 class!
