This morning I caught a connecting BxM18 at 5th and 34th and took that downtown to work instead of the usual QM to 6th ave and take the R/W. It was such a nice experience and hardly took much longer than the Subway does.

Anyone know if Queens bound 6th avenue express buses will be re-routed for the parade today?

I was actually timing out the QM2/20 super express buses against the regular buses a few days ago on Bustime and it really is amazing how much of a difference the pickups in the beginning make, but also how much better the tunnel to the BQE and Astoria blvd are compared to 59th street bridge down Northern. It almost makes me wonder why they don't just send Qm2/3/20 down 5th from 57th Street toward the tunnel and just go via the tunnel and BQE. it seems much faster at rush hour.

How's the QM2 during peaks times? Do you have any experience with the QM20?

Does anyone have any experience riding the QM7/QM8? I'm looking to move to an area they service and was wondering how much worse it will be compared to rides on the QM25 that already can take almost an hour and a half.
