  1. Pre employment tomorrow at 7:30..from what I've read I'm guessing I should arrive by 6:30 to have the best chance of getting out of there early?
  2. Lol I don't know why u could just say the number like we all don't know how much the hourly pay is. Your no different than any1 else that's training. He just wanted to know a number.
  3. Wonder if the reason for multiple pre employments was because the list wasn't official yet, but now that it is we may only have to do it once. Jus my thought. Still can't see why they would only be in the 400's with processing, but call up to 1900 for pre employment. That would mean those people in the 1900's would have to attend like 5 times lol which I highly doubt is the case.
  4. I think I'm missing that then because nowhere in the packet does it ask about arrests. N if they are only processing in the 400's, why did they send packets to people in the 1900's. That sounds like ppl will have to attend multiple pe's..smh
  5. I wonder if everyone who recently got a pe letter will have to do pe like the rest of the folks that went 2-3x's before the list was established. I know medical has a timeframe but I really don't wanna have to go to pe multiple times. I've seen that around 1800's have a pe letter but they haven't even hired any 800's. Any input?
  6. U shouldn't. Mta don't really deny people jobs for convictions, unless u have the type of record where u shouldn't be walking the streets in the first place lol
  7. Nowhere in the papers does it say to bring those on that day.
  8. Points don't matter for train operator. For bus u can't have more than 4pts
  9. The paper from the social security office, do they keep it?
  10. Just called the exam unit n the lady told me that u must have 1yr and be off probation in order to come back. I'm sure it happens ALL the time when someone leave a city agency while on probation for another city agency. There's no ways u just lose out.
  11. Wondering if anyone has the answer to this. I'm sure majority of people that take city exams take more than 1. What happens if u leave your city job while on probation for another city agency. U don't like the new title or something bad happens. Can u still go back to the previous title being that u left while still on probation?
  12. If u notice I said take this until fire or just wait for fire. The end result is def gonna be Fire.
  13. Why did it take that long.. how much earlier should a person get there so they can be out early ?
  14. Faced with a tough decision. Got called for Pre- employment and I just took the physical for fdny firefighter. I'm expected to be in the next June class, worse case maybe next dec (a year away). should I start Mta n then leave for fire, or just wait for fire. Firefighter has always been my dream job, train operator was just the backup. Just looking for opinions.
  15. Open competitive lol.. it the type of exam we took. Open to anyone that qualifies. Vs a promo exam where the job title is a promotion only.
  16. Your wasting your time. I'm sure ya score didn't change, your list number did because other peoples scores were adjusted. I scored a 93 and I knew it When I matched the answer key but the score they sent me was a 91 list number 1600 something. After they made the correction I went to a 93 list number 1100's. Putting me in my right place. In order for them to even look at an appeal u need valid reasoning. I'm sure u sent them a letter saying your list number was xxx and it was changed to xxx lol. They are gonna toss that so fast because they know that there was a grading error.
  17. The scores we first recieved wasn't official. Stop complaining.
  18. I had appealed my scored and they got back to me but I'm guessing I heard back from them quickly because they were already aware of the mistake. It may be different for other things.
  19. Correct. I moved up about 500 spaces. So it's obvious that the 500 people behind me scores were moved a few spaces as well. The score the mta gave us wasn't official though, the one that we see online is.
  20. Went from 1600's to 112x...maybe I'll get called early to mid next yr??
